platinum tipped plugs?

everyone tells me platinum tipped plugs are not good for boost. I am using the factory ngk #9s in my street ported 35r.. is this a bad thing? should i be considering different plugs? please help.

if you are running high boost , you might want to consider , greddys pro rotary , 10`s or 11`s , seems to work for me
