Thumbs down pissing me off: guy trying to pass fd bumper as efini bumper on ebay

Grr: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=180144935325

I messaged him and told him that it's a normal bumper with the efini badge. He replies and says "no, it's efini"

Weren't all of these cars badges as "efini RX7" in Japan? ... if so, then that could be an "efini" bumper up until '99, when the '99 style came out, right?

Of course that makes it nothing special at all.

Yeh I've seen tons of Series 5's with Efini badges here (In New Zealand - where at least 80% of our cars are Japanese imports)

Technically the guy is probably right, but that is preying on the USA's definition of efini

^exactly. Probably is JDM, but that doesn't make it special.

Actually, he's VERY correct. RX-7's up until '98 or so were Efini models, no Mazda at all on them. The only bumper change was for the '99 revision, at which point Mazda went to the winged M badge and it became the Mazda RX-7.

I have an efini rx-7 fd (92 fd from Japan). It was debadged on the front when I bought it but they put the efini badges on right from the factory. Same thing on the back of the car.
