hey DCrosby i saw that u had blue lights for ur parking light....u live in cali rite??? let me just give u some advice.....take them off immediately!!!!!!! just got a ticket for having red bulbs!!!!the ticket was not a fix-it....$250 ticket....i dont want u to go through the same thing

if u have blue or red bulb on the front of ur vehicle its ILLEGAL!!!!!

Yeah I feared that, I need to go back to the place I bought them from and ask them for dual white LEDs, the thing is they're not (Blue Blue) but one White LED, and One Blue soldered together , it's still too blue for my tatse, and I agree I don't want a ticket... for marker lights... but then again, I just rolled bye 2 cops this morning, and even stopped bye a motocycle cop the other day to tell him about some deer that were trying to cross the 405

So I think my pasty white boy get out of troubble free card must not have expired yet !

This BTW is all my doing, BananaRE ships his with clear tungsten bulbs...

 

Yup. Even if the bulb is WHITE when lit. I got in an accident a LONG time ago and had hyper-white bulbs (I know, I know...) in the front markers. At the scene, the cop took the light out of the marker and wrote me a ticket for impersonating a police vehicle. I of course took it to court and lost. The ticket WAS reduced to an inspection violation of some sort though.. It was the most rediculous thing I had ever seen. The light CLEARLY was white when light, but I guess that didn't matter..

I never really understood the ticket.. Yes the bulbs were a blue tint.. But they didn't flash, or spin, AND WERE NOT on the TOP of my car.. Oh well.. Gotta love the law.

I got my smoked set today and put them on

 

Where are you guys getting them from? I contacted the RX7store last week. They said they would have the black ones with clear lenses early this week. I called them today and they said maybe later this week. I think this may go on for a while.

 

I got tracking on the lamps and should be to me tomorrow. Im getting 20 sets but Im not sure which ones. I think its a mix.

Mine should be in tomorrow! Clear with Black housing for my silver 93 FD. Will post pics once they're installed.

 

For those waiting on them from me I checked tracking again and they rescheduled delivery for Feb 2. Not sure why. All orders will ship this coming monday.

To be honest, the lights are a really nice item. Currently the particular picture of them on my car is probably a good representation of them, I think.

I just think it's funny how there is a 4 page thread of pure confusion on something as simple as signal lamps. By confusion I mean people talking about

example person 1: smoke black polish
example person 2: no no no they only come smoke polish but gray
example person 1: you're both wrong chrome clear is the only option
example person 3: do you mean "type b" vs "type s", I think it would be "tighhht" if you could have a "type bs"

They're a really nice looking set of turning lamps, great updated factory like, certified legal lamps. But it's funny to see it get dragged out like this.

 

Around here, everything gets dragged out like this.

For example, look at the recent thread on the 13B-REW vs. Renesis in the Rotary Performance section...

It's always the cosmetic threads and the "What RX8 crap can we make work in the FD" threads that seem to go the long haul.. oh well..
