I hate you. Thanks alot, I was going to have my car re painted in black again, now I have decided for sure to get CYM. And now I have to get my tan seats changed to black, and of course I need the same wheels you got, cause those are hot. Since we both live in bay area, when you see another car that looks exactly like yours (except with a 99 efini full kit) you will only have yourself to blame for posting the pics of that beauty, don't blame me, ok?
You could use Simple Green, or Purple Power (I think that’s the name of it) to clean your engine bay. You'll probably need some small brushes to scrub off all of the grime. Another thing to consider is polishing the pipes; I know TTT does it, as well as most Harley shops.
God, I still can't get over how good your car looks! I love the rims, the tint, everything about it! If possible, could you hook me up with some higher resolution pictures? I'd like to have some to print off, and some to use as a wallpaper. Thanks!

thanks everyone for the compliments and the suggestions for engine cleaning.
MTC: shoot me an e-mail at neokai@uclink.berkeley.edu and i can send you some higher res images (about 1028 pixels or something).

That's a 99 J-spec wing, I believe. One of the prettiest CYM's I've seen posted. You should be proud. How does she run?
What's make and model of those rims?

Holy **** dude thats a nice car! that's exactly what I'd want, clean, good mods, no extroverted bodykit, nice rims . . .
I see you live in Berkeley, do you go to Cal? I miss the east bay, i used to live there, now I'm stuck in Texas . . .
i go to UCSB now for school though its not bad.
Anyway keep up the good work, you have inspired me to do a major wash/wax/polish to my '01 Celica!
Peace

Toadman: They're Team 5Zigen 5ZRs. Check my profile for more information - click on motoko in my signature.
Cetchup: LoL! I copied the URL from your first attempt and saw the picture already. They're nice but heavy wheels.
Do you have the same size as mine too? 18x8 and 18x9s?
Droops83: Thanks and yeah, I live in Berkeley and go to Cal. Texas is supposed to have a LOT of very nice high end cars with all those rich Texans and all.
Remember, first wash with some soap that will remove old wax, then clay bar, then polish, then imperial hand glaze, maybe some sealant, and then a layer or two of nice carnuba wax. Be prepared to spend quite a few hours on it of course.

Looks awesome man!
A few things I think would make it look even better:
(1) '99 spec taillights--would match your spoiler really well.
(2) Efini badges--big improvement over stock mazda toilet bowl badges.
(3) '99 spec front lip--very aggressive; I love mine.
Just my opinion...car looks sweet man

Anyways, nice car man. I really like the 99 wing! GJ!

Hey neokai,
thanks for the washing tips! I've never tried clay bar before, guess i will now.
You're right about there being nice cars in TX, I live in a pretty well-to-do town, and since houses are so much cheaper here, people can afford to get nice cars. theres lots ofPorsches, several Vipers, even a few Ferraris/Lambos in my town. In some ways its better being a car enthusiast in TX than in CA (athough I'd MUCH rather be in Cali), the cops are more lax, higher speed limits, more open space, no exhaust noise laws, no smog tests, and our premium gas is 93 octane and runs like $1.40 a gallon, which is way better than than paying 2 bucks for a gallon of 91-octane squirrel **** over there! Plus, people where I live are down to race all the time. Even in my bone-stock base model '01 Celica, people rev on me all the time! I can't imagine what it'd be like if I had an FD! (anyone wanna trade?
)
Anyway, I'm gonna try and make it out to Bezerkeley this summer and visit some friends, maybe I'll see you and your car.
Peace

what part of texas do you live in?
I live in The Woodlands, which is like 40 miles north of downtown Houston. Its one of those privately owned, master-planned family-oreinted communities. I guess its nice if you have a family and are into that kind of thing, but I hate it. theres nothing for high school/college age kids to do. I go to college in Cali so I'm not exactly thrilled to be back here for the summer . . . . anyway about racing, I guess since my Celica is kindof a trendy "import' car, all kinds of Fast and Furious-loving kids in Civics and even Mustangs/F-bodies want to race. My car is slow as ****, plus I really have nothing to prove so I pretty much ignore it . . . wish I still had my Volvo 850R . . .

They decided our community didn't need trees.
