JoeD: Some of us don't put volks, enkies, etc. on our cars b/c we don't have the $$ to spend. Wheels get very expensive, very fast!

im not a hater. i have higher standards. i wouldnt stoop down to the level of the honda buys and put knockoff rims with narrower-than-stock tires, and a knockoff body kit on a car.

i have higher standards than that.

 

BTW, im still searching for the right FD...a really good condition 94 or 95 Silver R2. it will take time, but i will find one.

does it say anywhere on here that you must have an FD to have an opinion about it?? does it say anywhere that you must have an RX-7 to think that knockoff body kits and cheap rims just dont belong on an FD?? does it say anywhere on here that only FD owners are allowed to think that installing tires and rims that are narrower than stock is pretty retarded??

i voice my opinions. im not like other people that just hold ot all in.

i have also been on this forum a lot longer than most people here. i can honestly say that i have a much greater knowledge about the FD than a lot of FD owners on here.

 

Someone who almost never has anything positive to say in his posts sounds an awful lot like a hater. It sounds like your "higher standards", as you call them, are getting in the way of you becoming a benefit to this forum instead of just a pain in everyone's ***.

It takes no skill or thought to criticize others on how they spend their money. But if you don't even have a 3rd gen., where do you get off telling other people that they shouldn't "stoop" to putting knock-off body kits or less expensive rims on theirs?

It sounds, Joe Dirt, like you're just trying to impress people with your so-called discriminating taste, when in actuality you're the worst kind of hypocrite because you don't even have a 3rd gen. and aren't even practicing what you preach.

I've owned a set of Kinesis rims. They were no better, or lighter, than a set of Konig Villains. They just cost more and looked different. There is variety because there is variety in taste and budget. Just because someone doesn't share yours (imagined or not) doesn't give you the right to rip on them.

the only time when i am negative in a post is when it has to do with knockoff body kits and rims. yes, all the posts recently about these topics, i have been negative in. how can you be positive about something you really do not like??

Anyone thats ever visited this forum even once knows about your wonderful opinions on anything replica and can EASILY detect the sarcasm in your statement, as I did when I read it. That's why he called you that. If you dont like replicas body kits or 7.5" wide wheels, then when, or if, you get your FD, dont put them on it, but dont attack other people for asking questions about putting one on their car, or for having them on their car. It's their car, their choice. I've seen a lot of things people have done to their car on here that I don't care for, but it's their car, not mine, so I keep my mouth shut. You could probably find something on my car you don't like, but I don't care, its my car, not yours, and I like it. You have to remember that not everyone can afford $3000 for a set of rims, or $2200 for a hood (Scoot), that's no reason to flame them for picking something cheaper, replica or not, and to do so shows worse taste than 5" wide wheels on an FD. This may come off as a personal attack, but its not meant to be, its meant for anyone that reads this that does any of that.

With that said, I wish you luck in looking for your FD. The first two FD's I seriously looked at getting were a 93 Silver Base and a 94 Silver R2, but instead bought a 93 Touring with 5K original miles on it, and boy did I ever pay a nice amount for that, but it was worth it. I have pictures of the 94 R2, I'll try and find them and put one up here for you to drool over.

everyone is saying i post negative **** in all posts...when i dont. the only time i am negative is when the thread has to do with knockoff body kits or Konig or ADR rims or anything of that nature. i admit...i am negative in threads relating to that topc, but i dont recall saying anything negative or saying something that can offend somewhen when it has to do with anything OTHER than posts about knockoff ****. i dont know why you guys are saying this.

and i hope this thread is not locked sonn because i enjoy hearing what people have to say about me, weather they are good or bad...bad in this thread's case. some people resort to flaming (widebody2) which can potentially lead to the locking of this thread....then i will be blamed for it.

and no bro (widebody2), i dont dream of owning an FD. i dream of owning a McLeran F1 or Ferrari F-50, because i know it will never happen. but i know for sure i will own an FD in the near (hopefully) future.

 

also, widebody2...bro...your running 15 PSI and your still on stock injectors?? thats really a good idea. i reccomend you get some larger secondaries if you want your engine to last.
