JoeD: you need to learn how to let ppl make their own choices. If I had to guess ur age I'd say ur not a day older than 25. Am I right? Just out of curiousity, are you employed? a student? I think it'll make it easier reading ur posts knowing a lil about you.

If anyone person on this Forum suffers from BRANDITIS its you. Ive read several threads (that whole Rolex saga....LOL) in the past showing ur "higher than mighty" personality. Either you are plum broke who dreams alot or you grew up in a wealthy home w/ very materialistic views.

Like several ppl have mentioned above, not everyone has that xtra $$$ to throw into wheels. Personally if I had the money, I'd throw it into perf mods first. Where you wld feel great spending $2000 in wheels alone..........others mat opt to spend half that in a cheaper set and the rest on a PFC. Get my point?

Until you learn to RESPECT others, keep the negative BS to urself and quit ragging others for THEIR choices you will never be respected urself.

Look at it this way, if they all do to their FD's what you wld like to do to yours (oh yeaa I forgot you dont have one!) wont everyone be driving similiar looking FD's?

Im fairly new in the FD world but have been arnd the block many times in the sportbike scene and Ive learned ppl that portray themselves like you do are nothing but POSERS!!!!!!

Raven: The car looks sharp man! Dont take it to heart when others bash ur car. From ur post it sounded like you rushed urself into buying those wheels. Its not a contest ......decide what you want, save ur $$$, dont rush into any purchases w/out giving it a good thought and do NOT settle for things u didnt want to begin with.

i dont know why you all are comin down on Joe like this. yeah, he could be an ******* at times when it deals with replica body kits and replica wheels. i also dislike knockoff ****, especially when its on a car like an FD or Supra. (im ok with it on civics. )

if you actually read some of Joe's posts on topics other than knockoff body kits, youll see that hes a pretty helpfull guy, and he knows what he is talking about. just look at his responses in threads NOT having to do with knockoff body kits, and then see if you can honestly say that he's an *******. he knows way more than the average FD owner one here, and he doesn't even have an FD yet. all of you that say he is an ******* have probably only read his posts in threads about knockoffs. he also might be a bit sarcastic at times, but those of you who say he is the one that starts **** with people are wrong. and i havent seen him call people immature names and start swearing, which usually causes a big arguement to erupt, which makes him look like the bad guy.

dont think i am just sticking up for him or that i'm all up on his nuts. im pretty sure he doesnt really care what you or i think about him.

some of you should open your eyes before you open your mouths.

JRK what you said is a lode of horseshit. I can honestly say JoeD is an ******* and no...I have never posted about knockoff wheels or bodykits because I don't have any of that. JoeD definitely knows what he is talking about and its amazing that someone who doesn't even own the car would go through that much trouble to learn all that info just to be a dreamer. JoeD you are like the pirate of this forum. You attack people when they are just posting their thoughts. And I know you don't think you are being a dick when you humiliate the original poster and thats why I am convinced you have a brain tumor. Anyway if you could just post your advice and thoughts in a way that won't offend everyone, you would be a big plus to this forum and not a plague.

JoeD good point about my injectors...no seriously though. They are on there way and its not really a problem since my rx7 is in storage sitting next to yours for the winter. Can you please check over my mod list and tell me if there is anything else wrong. btw its actually 1 bar not 15 lbs sorry

Honestly, the times that he has said something nice is far and few between. Having an opinion is one thing, berating others for theirs is another.

One paticular incident that stands out in my mind is a guy that came on here talking about putting a supercharger in place of the turbos. JoeD and DK basically humiliated and ran him off the Forum. Rather then point out the advantages and disadvantages of doing this, they choose to berate him. How is this contributing to the Forum?

He 'knows' alot because he basically rehashes what everyone else has learned thru wrenching on their cars. None of his 'knowledge' was obtained thru working on his car. I'm not saying that he has to have an RX7 for his opinions to be valid, but his opinions would have more validity if he had personal experience with what he is talking about.

The problem here is that his opinions typically step over the line, and become berating.

JoeD should be commended for spending an extrodinary amount of time learning about RX7s, more then most people do. When he does get his RX7, I am sure he will be well ahead of myself and many others when we first got our cars.

None of this though, is an excuse for making other people feel bad.

Yes I agree JoeD is surprisely knowledgeable in this car but its quite different than experiencing it oneself. Altho, I dont know him personally and he may have worked on other Fd owners cars.

Aside from the whole 'knock off' debate, he comes off abrasive in just about every other post on every topic.

I like the theory about the brain tumor and I think we should explore that further.

I applaud anyone who wants to hang out and learn about the cars even if they don't own one themselves, but downing people for buying knock-off equipment when you don't even have a car yourself is just... wrong. If Joe owned an FD stocked with name-brand components, then I'd just pass it off as someone with a maladjusted set of social skills. (Or a brain tumor) But because he doesn't even practice what he preaches, he's just a big ol' hypocrite, and I have no patience with someone who loudly and repeatedly claims everyone should drink Dom Perignon when he's drinking Schlitz Malt Liquor himself...

Anyway, I vote for a brain tumor.

I had a feeling that was gonna be ur answer. That tells me ur either a thief, a genius of some sort moonlighting OTS, or ur parents do OK. Either way you have a serious case of 'poor raisin'..... which cant or CAN be cured but thats entirely up to you. Reading some of ur posts tonight leads me to think ur in denial. Dont take it to heart but dont throw it all out entirely either.......basically you just have to GROW UP! You'll find a better quality of friends hang arnd this way. Education alone is good but an educated POLITE person will get you much farther.

Maybe ur unaware of this. But amongst the 'working' class ppl unpolite kids can be very annoying. However rich, spoiled unpolite kids who are given everythng and has no TRUE value to the American dollar cuz everythng was always given to them (wheeeew) is rather pathetic. Also they must work harder to gain any respect.

Anyone interested in my STOCK 16" rims? No tires. Set of 4, however, I am quite certain one rim is bent. Cannot see anything obvious once they were off the car, but the one wheel was very out of balance when I got it. No guarantee on that, should be fixable. Other three in good shape. $300 OBO, you pay shipping.

Find you damn Silver FD already...dont really need an R2 do you.....That's what I used to think too..but then I thought to myself..."self" I'm going to mod my car beyond R2 status anyways...so WTF..Sunroofs are pretty nice if you are not 6'2"+ and needing to wear a helmet.

I think most people's problems are how you act IN those threads you want us not to look in. You're basically saying, "yes I agree with you, I can be an ******* at times, but I dont want you to look at all the posts where you can prove it, I want you to look everywhere else where I'm not, that way I dont look like an *******." I might try that if I ever get arrested for speeding or something. "Yes judge, I was speeding, I speed about 60% of the time, but I want you to look at the 40% of the times when I havent been speeding to prove I was speeding."

I have a feeling this thread is getting closed soon.

yes...but there have been about 4 threads dealing with knockoff body kits, where i have been looked upon as an ******* in, and i posted maybe around 6 or 7 messages in each of those threads.

now look at the rest of the 3000 some odd posts i have. out of all that, do you think it makes sense to brand me as an ******* and say that i am always negative???
