[QUOTE=GreenMean937]ok farhan ... goddamm .. your **** is off the hook .... i wish i had your exterior my engine and in white pearl.. then i think i would be 100% done ... but damm your **** is like shhow quality ... damm my car gets tons of attention from girls ... i can only imagine how your does in the ***** meter ...

and a Efini enblem would look great ... i think im starting on all exterior mods .. so wait and see my progress... im thinking 99 spec front r1 CB lip pettit rear flares with monster 19 x11" rims and a carbon fiber rear defuser and those bad *** siple side skirts in CB.. dont know who makes themQUOTE]

Thanks man! The plan is actually to start entering shows once it's done. I'll post pics when I finally finish with the car (2-3 months). I've never had any problems getting girls, even without the car, but for damn sure the car gets a LOT of attention, most appreciated some not (Cops).

I agree that the efini emblems will look really good. With Petitt flares I believe you can go even wider than 11", something more like 12-13"s. I'm actually going to be running 19x11" in the rear and thats with only a 1 inch increase in width in the rear. I believe the Petitt fender flares are much more. Oh and btw I actually went with a CF rear diffusor and CF Feed side skirts (which I think you're referring to). You got some taste my man .

Goodluck with everything, I know I can't wait until I get my single.

Since then, I've sold the wheels, the lights and a bunch of other things. Currently, it's in a body shop getting painted with wide fenders in both the front and rear. I also added, side skirts, a rear diffusor and some other miscellaneous(sp?) exterior parts. At the same time I'm having A-spec build me a single turbo and I'm just buying up a lot of parts. I also have a brand new set of 19" wheels coming in, but they're taking FOREVER (8-10 weeks to build)!

I honestly think after this summer my car will be 95% complete. The only things left for me to do will be purchase some aftermarket seats and a new steering wheel...lol.
I'm also attempting to do everything at the same time (body, performance, suspension, interior, ect, ect). I was hoping to have it done by next summer but, with a new baby on the way, I may be delayed some. It's been years since I drove my own FD and I'm getting tired of looking at an almost empty shell.

DAYM! I would probably cry if I wasn't able to drive my car for one year, much less several. Don't get me wrong my cars been done for months at a time and considering I don't drive it in winter and I live in Chicago it already sucks. I definitely feel for you man. Goodluck with your car as well. I LOVE seeing nicely modded FD's----they've always and will probably continue to be one of my ALL time favorite cars .

LoL.....yah with the uglies I tend to drive off very fast or kind of just brush them aside. I also have dark tints so rolling up with the window has also come in handy a couple times .

If I include the new wheels that will be put on I'd say I was over $22,000.00 easily. The wheels and tires themselves retail for $9000.00, but I'm getting a GREAT deal. The engine will probably have a little less than $20,000.00 once I'm done. Before everyone gets carried away thinking I'm spoiled, I actually payed for EVERY single modification done on this car myself. The car was bought for me as a gift by my parents, but from then on its been all me .

I REALLY need showcar insurance and if you don't have it I would suggest you go the same route.

I've been working for the past 4-5 years, very steady job and going to school at the same time. I'm just about to graduate in 2 weeks and then about 4 more years of schooling for me. The thing is my parents DEFINITELY help me out. I don't have any real expenses aside from my own daily ones and so most of what I have I can use as I wish. Also, almost every year for one month's worth of I guess you can consider work I get paid $5000.00 cash. All these things help me fund my project and I'm by no means broke or in debt or frugal with other expenses. I tend to enjoy everything, but my car's my passion.

The rims and tires as a set retail for $9000.00, but I'm getting a really good deal on them. The rims themselves cost $7500.00 retail. I'm going with Kinesis K59R's painted the same custom color as my car. I'm getting them in 19x10 in the front and 19x11 in the rear. The tires are very expensive and retail for a good set (I'm looking in to Michelin Pilot PS2) is around $1600.00. I plan on running 265's in the front and 315's in the rear. So that explains how that total comes about.

As far as the bodywork and paint cost, I would say I'm at $6000.00-7000.00. I really want to learn how to paint so I could paint my own cars if I ever wanted. I guess that's something to look forward to in the future when I can afford my own paint booth and supplies.

Hey man, have you considered show car insurance for your ride because I also have state farm for insurance and I don't think they'll cover all the mods unless they have some sort of proof. Besides, I'd like to get my car insured for the value of the car with everything on it and from what I'm told show car insurance is the way to go for this. Plus no emissions .

yeah i would like to look in to that insurance .... wait no emissions?? like smog and **** ??? damm im hella in if that the case ....

damm thats exactly the smae set up in rims in tire but i really think im going with the HREs what color is the car ??
paint is easy .. well actually its allllooooot of work .... its all in the prep .. if the prep and body work are done perfect the paint will be perfect .. i started off doing hondas like 5 or 6 of them ... and all of them riced out fucked up with shaved everything .... so i was never really too happy about what they look like .. still ricers.. ha ha

yeah my parent help plenty too .. and im broke even when i have alot of money .. ill save for what i need and then not waste non of it until i have the money ... my car is also my passion .... but i love to race so... im usually spending all my money time building the dam car to go fast for 1,320 feet ....and always breaking stuff... someday ill build a show car but im not sure when ... you got any more pics of your car in the shop ???

Yup, from what I was told if your car is registered as a "show car" then emissions standards no longer apply. I really need this considering the difficulty I went through even getting a waiver for a year.

Anyways, here's a couple pics of my car in the shop. It'll still be another 2-3 weeks before I get it back.

Oh and I'm painting the car a metallic black - lots of pearls and lots of flakes .
