Question Pics Of Stock Primary Injectors...

Just As The Title Says, Im Requesting Pic's Of Stock Primary Injectors. Reason Being That I Just Received Mine Here At Work (i Work For A Mazda Dealership) For Troubleshooting My Fuel Issue And The Tops Are Purple. I Thought That The Stock Primaries Were Green? I May Be Wrong But I Was Just Wondering. Thanks In Advance...

They're beige because they're older. The purple fades into the beige color.

Nope, not because of fading. Mine are brown, not faded. IMO, the color of the tops are irrelevant as there are a number or reason they could be different. As long as they are the same flow rate, that's all that matters.

Don't laugh. The natural color of plastic is usually beige. The secondaries start out looking red, and fade to dark brown. Engine heat and/or fuel fumes I believe would do it. Green could fade to 'brown' also - the caps of that other set are an olive color.

My other set of primaries has 62k on them (the pictured ones were almost new) and they looked brown - both the tops and the pintle caps. But if you looked closely you could still see some purple in them. However, that doesn't mean it's true for all of them.

I've only handled the sets I own - but it seems like the ones I've seen started purple and faded out. I have another set being shipped to me with about 40k on them, I will look if they are too. I'm sure there are plenty of folks on the board who have handled enough injectors to say for sure - I think they're not reading the thread.

Just an FYI, my injectors have the same amount of mileage on them. Secondaries are as red as red can be, and the primaries are brown (no hint of them ever being another color as that was the first thing I checked). When I mean brown, I'm not talking a light beige, but "brown".
