The four door S4 grocery getter probably has been upgraded. The last time I went to the Audi event at VIR there were a couple of guys w/ 450 + hp and they are AWD

Actually, you're right...Stage 2++ right now. Stage 3 very soon... We're aiming for ~500hp on pump gas. I'm gonna need bigger brakes to stop that oinker. So I'll take all you FD's on in the rain and the snow jk

What are you calling 2++? Turbo back exhaust plus K04s running K03 software? I used to have stage 2 S4, but haven't been into the turning scene for about a year, so excuse my ignorance

Stage 2+ is considered chip + turbo back exhaust. I kinda created the Stage 2++ since there really isn't a classification for it. Stage 3- is considered Stage 2+ "+" running K04's on stock fueling and stock injectors and runnning K03 chip. My particular setup is: Stage 2+ "+" RS4 Intercoolers, port and polished intake manifold, port and polished throttle body, resin intake manifold spacers, manual boost controller, bypass of N249, darintake modification, and throttle cut defender. All told my car would give Stage 3 cars a surprise if I was running XR on 100. On K03s I would spike to 22psi and hold 15psi to redline. The thing can boogie. But since I don't have upgraded turbos I'm not allowed the Stage 3 moniker. Make sense?

Makes sense here. Are you planning on upgrading to K04s? Waiting to blow the stockers?

Heh heh, I think the stockers are scheduling an appointment with the Turbo Lady. They're making a lovely noise at WOT that sounds eerily similar to a dentist drill. I'm actually going with a prototype turbo, probably will be one of the first to use it. It uses a K03 housing but is machined out to house a K04 exhaust wheel and a K16 compressor wheel. Port and polished and ceramic coated. It'll cost a lot less since I have new revision K03's the guy will be able to use. The other benefit is I won't have to buy K04 inlet piping for it. At the end of the day these things should flow similar to K04 but a little less efficient. But they should spool faster than a typical K04 but flow less up top. We're going to be using RS4 injectors and custom fueling (MAF, fpr, etc) and tweaking out the GIAC X to proper trim levels so that we get 22psi to redline...the thing should be FAST, and depending on the results of my upgrade this option may grow in popularity since they'll be a much cheaper alternative to the K04 and K04/K16 hybrids. Sorry for babbling

Thanks man. I'll let you know how it all goes down. I just wish it was as easy to replace turbos on my car as it is on you FD's...
