my only concern is that the seals are to wear not the rotor housings.
wonder how much more wear they put if they are 700 percent "stronger".
break in must be a bit longer too.
i guess this doesn't matter if you replace your engine every two years though........

Well, i'm intrigued. I'm all for some new technology that finally gets the monkey of the popped motor off our backs, or at least keep him caged for a while longer.
I personally need some insurance against the blow up, as i'm not sure I can deal with the constant threat of it.

Sorry to veer off topic, but how exactly did you keep breaking the atkins seals ? How much boost were you running ? Detonation ? BTW........the RA seals are very interesting indeed.

I run 19 psi on a T-45S

I think it all boils down to someone knowing how to tune their car. If the car is properly tuned, detonation an apex seal failure is not an issue. Both the stock 2mm and Atkins 2mm seals are capable of high boost if the car is tuned right.

You should read the sites warrenty they provide on the seals. It doesn't help most of us but will help out some people that want warrenty on stock engines!
Here's a quote I pulled off of the site:
"We offer a Iife-time warranty for seals used in stock applications with new rotor housings. (Customer must provide proof of new housing purchase when making warranty claim). Of course, we cannot offer on a warranty in ANY NON-STOCK APPLICATIONs."
Now that's IMPRESSIVE!

yea i know about that but there was someone here that was ordering another pair because he managed to crack one apex seal and he wanted to pay for them but they insisted that they give him another set free. even though he detonated on purpose and cracked one of them.
i think thats impressive... even though he wasnt stock

ok, good news, they will give me scrap samples of their new seals so i can test them or try to break the with my hands to see how strong they are. how do you suggest i test them? also, i will need stock mazda seals and i will post pics of the test.
hardness and strenght are different.
glass has little strenght but is hard. This is due to the quick yeild point and almost no elastic deformation.
strenght is the area under the stress/strain curve.
we should find some Material Engineers to look into it

even if you pre-mix there is still wear.
you cannot avoid the friction just reduce it. Just look at some of the bearings or components like a oil pump that still wear out even though it's covered in oil.
I would like to see the effects and how much it changes the wear on the other components.
it could be softer and wear faster than stock seals. It might have a higher elastic property.
This would also increase the strengh......

trust me, having been through 5 engines and 230K miles on chassis I have seen alot.
even with mild mods like DP and CB i have lost an engine.
there are others that will concur from similar experiences....
all it takes is a hiccup or some 'tard fills 87 octane in the 91+ tank.....
this buys u some extra margin for these **** ups....

seems like they are pretty confident your side housings will wear out before your apex seals.....
i dont' want that

How the hell are you making this presumption?

Hrm, sounds like a good deal. Problem is I would only bother with these if they sold all the seals, water jacket, corner, side, along with the apex seals all in a kit. If they could pull this off and back it up with some solid tests then I'll buy a set post haste.
