Well, the pictures of my FD that was destroyed in the summer have finally arrived. One morning I was driving to work when for some reason my car went into a spin, hit the verge, rolled and slid down an embankment on it's roof. This happened on a straight section of a dual carriageway at rush hour. I was knocked out during the wreck and I have no idea how it happened. The cops can't help either as they have no witnesses (hmmm) and could not find anything wrong with my car that would have caused the crash.

Due to the layout of the road I must have only been doing 50mph max. All I can do is guess what happened, which is either :
1) someone clipped me from behind
2) I hit a patch of still water or oil spill
3) I fell victim to second turbo surprise

Anyway, the good news is that the insurance paid out ok. I love FDs but for a bit of a change I decided to go for a saloon and I am now the proud owner of a blingin S-type Jaguar. So all's well that ends well.

I think I will probably own another Fd (wife and insurance company permitting...). For a moment I was tempted to buy an RX-8 but then came to me senses!

I guess if you want to be all extra fancy you can do it that way. Personally I think some high performacne duct tape will do just fine. You can get it in clear, classic grey, black, or camouflage.

Could you explaine what a "saloon" is?

Those crazy guys call a sedan (4 door) a "saloon" and a wagon an "estate". Hell, they even pronounce coupe with an "A" at the end! sillyness.


Anyway, you sure owned the hell out of that car, nice work!
