yeah what I meant is that you are suffering from huge wheel gap. Looks like you are going off road. This is pretty common if you plus size and go to a lower profile tire. A nice set of aftermarket springs should help a lot with looks, not to mention the added benefits to handling of lowering your CG. If you still don't know what I am talking about, then take a look at pics of some FDs on the forum and compare your wheel gap to theirs. If it looks good to you, then that's all that matters.

id rather have it look like a monster truck than scrape the exhaust every time i go over a friggin' bump... like those ricer kids

i mean seriously.. the clearance right now is only like 6 inches (at the lip)

mine has the gap too. looks so much better with springs not to mention easily one of the most effective mods on any car, especially the FD. ask Howard Coleman. do a search and you will see. I have some on the way. whats another inch unless you don't know how to drive a lowered car. you don't have to drop it to the floor. just put it closer to the tires. to each his own. 9 times out of 10 it is extremely better looking and way better handling. period. I said the same thing you did until I came to my senses. tien s tech's on the way, less than 150.00. thats what I am talking about. it is bad when girls tell you, you need to get that lowered, too much gap. its like people with a space between their teeth, nothing wrong with it except it looks like ****, got to fix it. thats whats up.my .02.

by the way, don't hate, congradulate, nice car man. do everything you can to learn this car inside and out, you will not regret it. people don't understand that when you commit to buying this car, you are making a commitment to keep it too, only way to do that is learn as much as you can. have fun!!

i have coil overs so I can set height to whatever. I've found a good compromise that I'm happy with. Tein HA's only about $1K and I was able to handle the install myself. Word to the wise. Any changes in ride height will change your alignment, so I recommend getting the car aligned after any changes like new springs.
