Pics of my new Apexi GT Spec Radiator Type S
Finally received it and it looks pretty nice. I'll be installing it this week and see how it perform. It's good timing too. I think my stock radiator has a little leak in it.

It's BLUE! That's very cool if you are doing a color's engine bay, not that you will see much of it in the stock location, but if you are doing a FMIC and vertical rad install that would look sweet!

This radiator is only available in Japan. It took me awhile to receive it. Here's a link of it in Japan http://www.apexi.co.jp/indexa0/index2.html It's under cooling and it's the second GT spec link. You should see it at the bottom of the page. They compare dimensions to the stock radiator size.
I got it from www.corksport.com for $395 and that is including shipping since I live by them. You'll have to call to special order it though. It's not posted on their website. They might have some in stock since they usually order several at a time to save on shipping. Didn't ask, so I'm just assuming.
Here's one of their advertisement from a magazine. Don't know what it says, but when I was looking at the Apexi catalog of Japan, it showed that it cooled down the temperature significantly. Only real world measurements actually makes a difference. It's probably made to fit really well. I wish I can understand the manual too. That would probably simplify the installation.

I'll be installing it this weekend. I'll update everybody on it when it's all done. It cost about the same as a koyo and cheaper then the fluidyne. I'm assuming fitment would be excellent since it's from Apexi, but we'll see.

Fitment on this thing is great. Take out my stock radiator and drop in the new one. Everything lined up. No modification needed. That's what I'd expect from Apexi.

it's made of cooper, I think the fluidyne is much better....did you guys know that lots of radiators sold in Japan are made in America?? That is why it is so damn expensive over there.

hey sup!
I don't know if you remember me but, back a while ago, i too wanted the apexi radiator, there was a thread about a group buy on them a while back...bout 2 summers ago.
anyhow "the store" quoted at ~700 for taxes customs, and other various costs and 6 months at the least, so i decided against it ....
Glad you have gotten one though for $395 that is a GREAT deal...just curious as if you know the customs or tax costs and how long did it take?
thanks!

I don't know about customs or tax cost, Derrick at Corksport handled the whole thing for me. It took about 3 or 4 month for me to receive it.
The core is aluminum. The endtank are copper though. They intentionaly leave a little spot on the side of each endtank to let you know what it's made of. The most important part is the core. Core design is what helps on the cooling. I believe Apexi probably did some r/d for them to sell it. I think Japanese people would know how to make radiator so that they don't have to import it. If they didn't, wouldn't somebody have opened up a factory to make them and they'd be rich since they are the only one. Do you think Koyo is a USA company? I don't know, sounds like a Japanese company.
