My next new car will probably be a Mazda of some sort just because I know they are there to hook us up like that. And that damn wing was about $900. And yessss, $350 for the bumper (of course w/ the license plate, body shop fixed that).
phsst........ phsst...... : Dimensions? I don't know, I just measured under the bar and then made the rest of the sides work for the volume I needed. It hit 132db with that little 10" Eclipse, does that answer your question?
suganuma : Wow, casual at an Army base...ouch...hehe. Yeah, T-37 still, hence the pic w/ the car. Have fun down there on the Rio Grande, and good luck to you too, get ready for the pain

I'm really missing Florida and all of you folks down there. No worries, I'll be back someday
Oh, I am at Vance, I definately want to meet up with some of you OKC guys one weekend here, better sooner than later. I'm sure I'll be there at least once a month for drunken foolishness
Heattreated : NICE CAR MAN!! those CW's are very rare, good find. Have you figured out how to run that power wire yet though? PM me if you haven't.

Orlando, what's up man?
I grew up in Deland (actually Orange City), hence the "hometown DeLand, FL"
Moved to Orlando for college and then to Panama City at Tyndall AFB as a "casual" officer, and now at Vance AFB for SUPT (specialized undergraduate pilot training), and a year from now, only God knows where I will be.
If I put where I'm living I would have to change that crap every year or 2, I put DeLand, that's home.

You guys probably have 2 of the 3 FD's in Enid right, rare car in that area of Oklahoma. There was a silver one for sale in the area, figured it was a PT from Vance, but it was listed as being a few miles outside of Enid, probably in Waukomis. How long are you going to be at Vance? I should be back in Enid around May if all goes well, we will have to get together sometime.

Such a great sight to spot a series-6 updated to series-8 specs.
Very popular conversion for our Aussie series-6 & series-7 guys over here.
Great taste too. Doing yours as the "Spirit-R" version. Only 1500 done in that "Titanium" colour in late 02.
Now to top it off, are you going to update the interior with the series-8 dash & Nardi sports wheels too.............???

Yeah, I was thinking about doing the Nardi wheel (but I think cruise control would be tricky to pull off), and I am definitely looking into the red thread on the shift boot and e-brake, and maybe the steering wheel, but the cheapest I have seen the Recaro Carbon-Kevlar seats is $7000, and that is just asinine, so that will never happen. I would put that towards a NA 26B (pipe dream) before I would buy seats. The dash would be nice, but they have a boost gauge where the oil pressure is in our cars, so that would require some serious tweaking, also probably a pipe dream.
And I personally think putting the badges on it and the side marker lights is just as bad as the Honda guys putting "Type R" on their cars and side marker lights, so I will refrain from that.
Honestly I was happy with the old SSM paint and the stock body, but a friend did me the pleasure of smashing in the rocker panel on a wayward chunk of cement at an autocross and I had a couple of extra bucks to do the '99 update. I mainly did it for the extra cooling, better aerodynamics, and cool blinkers.
It's Friday, I must go, and in the tradition of pilot training it's time to

OK, $350 is just the bumper cover, you don't need the rebar, just borrow a sawsall, hack off the ends of the stock one, and viola, fixed. who cares anyway, if you hit someone at 40mph you are screwed anyway!
