Pics of my Black wheels

I posted this in wheels/tires/ etc, but thought I'd post in here too. I picked up a set of stock wheels last weekend for $100 with SO-2's on them. Gonna use them for track/autox wheels. Finshed painting them today, so here are a few pics

I like the silver stockers better on the car, but these look ok. They look better in person, my camera sucks.

Not a fan of the black wheels. Black wheels + black tires = Black hole.

I agree with turbojeff, too much black.

Buuuuut, your car does like nice, shiny and clean. I like the 99 tails, but why the stock catback?

100 bones for all 4 with s02s? that is a steal. i miss my old s02s, and am not liking my new s03s.

Yeah, I do like the way it looks, but I'm glad I've got a set of stockers for the street, they look much better. I just didn't want to deal with brake dust on my track wheels cause I'm lazy, and I was bored yesterday while it rained so I painted them black.

The S02s are very good tires, ran an autox with them last sunday and I was easily 1.5s quicker than on the all season POS tires that were on it when I bought the car.

When the SO2's wear out, I'm getting a set of Victoracers, planning on putting Toyo Proxes T1S's on the street wheels.

Still have the stock exhaust because I've only had the car since May, and this is more than enough power for me now. I'm planning on doing mostly suspension upgrades until I get a PFC, then I'll start with performance stuff, most likely a RB dual for the cat-back.

I prefer the stock silver instead, but it's not that bad.

I used VHD wheel paint and VHD clear coat. I wanted to use Duplicolor but i couldn't find it in black anywhere. 4-5 light coats of black and 4-5 light coats of clear.

So I guess we should call him Robin.. since Batman beat him to the black on black thang somewhat.
I like the look, though I am more partial to the Black body with gunmetal or black clearcoated wheels. Bronze is another possibility but I don't like it as much as the silver with black clearcoat.

haha, I actually kind of got the idea after seeing that exact pic of batman's car. I thought it'd be a good way to make track wheels low maintanence
