I'm glad to hear that! At the time I bought mine (last January), I heard they were having trouble keeping up with production so they were pushing them out the door. I guess they straightened up their act since then.

Pretty straight foward. As of right now, I still have the stock ignition, so anyone saying you need to upgrade is full of ****. (I have a MSD digital 6, but havn't installed it yet) I run 20lbs of boost and its fine. Fuel system consists of SR Motorsports Ultimate pump, stock primary inj, and 1600cc secondaries w/ a SX FPR, Apexi FMIC, Haltech E6K, and your basic bolt on's, with my single turbo. Bout covers it.

Hey Ernie, would you mind sharing a little info, or maybe PM me if you would rather.

What fuel pressure and pump are you running and what a/f ratio?

Thanks man,
STEPHEN

Great run Ernie! I thought you were running a KD rotary ported motor? I guess I missed the switch to Reactive Racing. Where are they located?

Reman basically replaces all worn parts and keeps the parts that are still within spec. The side housings are claimed to be lapped too.

You've been out of the loop awhile friend? KD Rotary was resposible for blowing up four of my motors. I got tired of going to somebody who didn't have a hairy *** clue on how to tune a car, so w/ a total stroke of luck, I found, whom I believe is one of the best damn tuners on the East Coast in Demetrios K. of Reacitve Racing. His 9 sec. pass on video is posted in the porformance section. Anyways, after hooking up w/ him, he has taught me how to do everything myself so I don't have to go bankrupt anymore. With the exception of the big stuff like porting, tuning and putting an engine togeather. That I still leave to him.

Hey Ernie,

awesome times, and the car looks very very nice.

that said, Dave tuned me to 368 peak rwhp at 15 psi on my original twins and a high flow cat. This is with low 11s a/f at WOT. Call me crazy, but I think Dave knows what he's doing .

take care--

I dissagree with what you think about KD Rotary. My last dyno was 430 rwhp @15 psi. Car has been running great. I just need to have it fine tuned for the cooler weather (too rich). I'm going up there next Thursday and going to try an 18 and maybe 20 psi dyno run. I've never had any bad experiences with the shop whatsoever. It pisses me off when someone badmouths another without revealing the true facts. We all know you blew up several times. Maybe one time it was a stuck fuel injector, maybe another was the bad batch of hurley seals. But how do you explain drag racing the car when it was supposed to be on break in? Hopefuly you learned your lesson and I am glad that the car seams to be running good.

No, I have the Kaaz.

And let me make this crystal clear for everyone. I have no doubts that Dave (KDR) is a good mechanic, but there is a huge difference between a tuner and mechanic. A tuner, he's not. To state he's made good power on stock twins isn't some dubeus feat. Its been done for years on end. The maps for the power fc, pms, and haltech all will be pretty much the same.
He's yet to tune a customer in the many years he's been in business that has went 10's. Thats a fact. For example, you ever see the dyno GMonsen posted not long ago? Dave let off at around 6800rpms on every run. Ever wonder why? Because of all the motors he's blown, he was scared to death to blow Gordon's again. Chalk it up to lack of knowledge, confidence, whatever, all Im saying is if your looking to make a lot of power and race, he's not your tuner. I didn't feel like having a nice thread get into a flame war, but it makes me pretty pissed off when somebody assumes something and knows nothing of the situation. I spent over $20,000 in one year w/ KDR. Half of which are on motors.
Another thing. You guys and this break in bullshit. Demetrios K. (Reactive Racing) built his motor, droped in his car and dynoed the next day at 25lbs of boost, on stock apex seals. Same motor for over a year now. No break in needed guys, sorry. Maybe if it was a brand spankin new motor, from the gound up, but your not getting that unless you live in Japan. What do you think your breaking in anyhow? Slabs of steel (apex seals)? Springs holding them in place? Come on, think about it, instead of following everyone else. There are very few moving parts in our engines, none of which need to be "broke in". For instance, when you purchase a Reman, it states nothing about break in, because there isn't any! Don't bother aguring with me, you'll waste your breath.

I don't race with street tires, I'd spin all day long. I use Mickey Thompson ET streets on stock RX7 wheels.
