Cool Picking up my FD TOMORROW!!!

YESS!!!!

I know that I have only posted like a few times on this forum, but that is mainly because I have spent almost all of my time here researching (and searching ).. in preperation... for when I get my RX-7... which is finally happening... TOMORROW!!! (Monday the 24th). (yea, i kno.. nice run on scentence!!)

Not going to bore y'all with the details (about planned mods, and that kind of stuff), but just to let you know I plan on going for all the standard "reliability mods" as a foundation for future planned upgrades/modifications.
The car is a 2 owner White 1994 Base model with a (Borla i believe) catback, and no other modifications except AST. The mileage is 18.5k !!

Price paid may be a little high but i know that this car has been well maintained (garage kept, regularly scheduled maitenence, 3k mile oil changes, etc..). Total that I am paying is 21k (plus Michigan = 6% sales tax.. ), and that includes a '94 Ducati 900ss that I am getting along with the car (in good condition, excelent condition mechanically, twin CF mufflers, jetted).

Oh.. and in reading through other posts I gathered that it wouldnt be a bad idea to have a primary car.. for me the daily driver/winter beater (Michigan.. Brrr) is a 96 Subaru Impreza L (AWD = ).

I will post some pics after I get it as soon as I can, the attached ones are from when I was checking the car out..

Nice...Im gettin a white '94 as well this week. But i got myself a moonroof in mine

We should be lucky, the white ones are becoming really rare these days...especially the white on black models. I have the black leather too.

GOT IT !!!!!!!!

This car is everything i had hoped it would be and MORE!! I am so thrilled.. even tho it did rain a little bit the day i got it... small price to pay!!

Just to let y'all know what its lookin like mechanically
the main problems are:

Classic 5th gear synchro problem (i say classic 'cause im sure most of you have heard of/ dealt with)
For some reason battery looses charge after car sits for a week or so without being started (prolly bad battery or something draining it.. i have yet to look into it)
Aftermarket CD player is old and needs to be replaced cause it skips too much

I have already conducted research on RX-7 related problems that I should expect so I am going to be taking appropriate measures.. but just thawt I'd let ya know that I GOT IT!! haha and that it is awesome (and that doesnt even begin to describe it...)

Oh yea.. as soon as my roomate and I are here at the same time, I will borrow his dig. camera and get some post-purchase-pics!!

Oh and btw.. I opted out of the Ducati for now.. mostly because of taxe$ and also just because I am not at that level of skill yet (still recovering from a little "dirtbike incident" )
