picking up a FD, what else do I need
Looking at a R1,
This is what is on it with new paint
HKS Racing suction intake
M2 DP with JetHot 2000 coating
Bonez Hi-flow Cat
Petit AST
Pettit ECU
Evans Coolant
HKS CF Ti exhaust
Tein HA coilovers with Pillowball mount
Battery Miniaturization
Momo steering wheel w/detachable hub
FEED shift ****
Defi LINK boost gauge
I know I need a turbo timer and a new clutch. With that I will do the 5th gear.
The car run’s in parallel stock twin-turbo and a stage 3 oil rebuild from Pineapple
What else in somewhat of an order would you suggest to go. Thinking about going with a HKS v-mount first. The car is still being broken in on the new engine so I can not tune it until summer. I live in Nevada so it gets very hot and very cold. Thinking about safety mods rather than power. So maybe mist system or what ever.
Thanks for all everyone’s help. This is my first FD that I am looking to get.

Don't buy a turbo timer. It's a waste of time and money.
You should consider a light flywheel when you do the clutch. An aftermarket radiator may be a good idea if your car has over 70k, and still has the original.

Would like something else besides the ACT clutch. And yes I would be doing a flywheel at the same time, and 5th gear. If I go with the V-mount I need a shop near Sacramento, or SF in California.
Solomon: I've noticed your WTB postings over the past several weeks and I'm curious to know what you finally bought (or are buying). I'm in the market for an FD as well and will be picking one up within the next 2 weeks or so. I've got a line on several nice low mileage cars and am having a hard time making up my mind on which one I want.
BTW, if you're going to put in a clutch, I recommend the ACT S/S. It's very streetable and won't give your leg a workout every time you step on the clutch pedal. Also, look into Racing Beat's lightweight flywheel, and as a preventative measure, replace all seals while the tranny is out. As mentioned, a radiator upgrade is a good idea, however, if you're going to go with a V-Mount setup, I would hold off on that. And other than the HKS, Rotary Extreme has their own kit and they are located in the San Francisco Bay Area so you may want to consider their setup as a matter of convenience as they are somewhat local and can install it for you.
P.S. Don't forget about engine management (PFC, Haltech, et al.).

Speedking,
Well someone on the board is thinking about selling their car and we have been talking. Nothing for sure. So I am still looking as well. It is hard to find a car that you know the person before you has not driven it like a ***. If you have any of those leeds that you want to share please PM me. =)
Good luck with you, and would love to know when you pick one up.
