I am picking up a 94 fd auto car with a blown motor tomorrow. Getting the car for 4K, clean title, 60K miles, needs paint, and does not run. Seems like a decent deal, what do you think?

I am going to swap the motor with a ls2 (lets not turn this into a debate please) anyways I was curious what I could get for the stock motor and auto trans?

And lastly do I need a new console trim piece for the manual tranny, or can I just install a shift boot?

 

auto trans is a paperweight, maybe 300 bucks for the shortblock. Parts arent worth much anymore b/c of all the swapping going on......

 

4k sounds pretty good to me... i think a shiftboot cover will work fine as long as you have the plastic ring trim thing around the cover
