NY Picked up a stock 94 SSM with Glassroof and black interior

I guess I will be posting a lot more on this side of the forum vs the drag section once again. After looking for quite some time I finally found the Rx7 I have been searching for. She is a 1994 SSM Touring with glass roof. I was pretty excited when I saw the map pocket not broken and the cruise control still works. The car is pretty stock, still has the original cats as well as the stock air box. The owner never installed a boost gauge so no holes in the A pillar either. Only real mod is the racing beat twin tip. Some Fikse FM10s are on the way so I will take some more pics when they arrive.

Here are some pics!

Thanks guys, the 2nd turbo is not coming in so I have to fix that. I just read a great thread on how to test each solenoid since I want to keep the twins sequential.

looks nice. how many miles, and how much did it cost? I'm always looking to see how our cars are valued when bought or sold.

Thanks

That's the same model I used to have. Wish I still had it. The 94s are so much nicer than the 93s.

Car looks great! I know someone selling some nice Fikses if you havent already bought some.

I am starting to look for a decent chassis for a drag car going the opposite route of you as I already have my street SSM car.

Thanks
He was asking 18K. He brought out the original window sticker from the dealer and really did not want to budge much but I got it a bit lower. I pointed out some flaws that he missed. I took a boost gauge with me and installed it under the hood and let it hang over into the cabin and showed him the second turbo was not coming online.

I want to change the main cat and install a downpipe and maybe remove the air pump. I may install some lowering springs, I have a set of Eibach for years that I was saving. I'm not trying to tamper with her too much. I want to change the pulsation damper and change the stock AST to the aluminum version.

Good for you. It's really hard trying to maintain a street/track car. I tried for many years and finally decided to just get a bone stock one for a Sunday car and make the yellow one a real track car now. I've been through 5 transmissions in one year alone but now I don't have to worry about that. Let me know if you have any questions on the drag setup.

Thanks Gordon! Glad to see you on facebook finally I am taking your advice and I am going to keep her stock. I'm not sure if there is a reason to remove the air pump or not. I'll be spending a lot of time reading this section of the forum.

Been there done that and it's just not worth it in a stock car. The smell alone is reason enough not to consider it !

Sweet FD! Reminds me of mine when I first got it... except mine is white and doesnt have a spoiler. An R1 front spoiler will really set it off as I personally think a stock bumpered FD has to have an R1 lip. Congrats on the score. It's nice to see clean FD's still out in the wild
