Talking Picked up my first FD yesterday.

I drove 4 hours to get to Boston to just look at the car. I brought all the pennies I have been saving. I wasnt sure what would happen when I got their, but I rented a car and brought a friend. Its a 93 Silver with black interior. The car is mint it has 11,300 original miles and I had the whole car checked over by a Mazda dealer. The mechanic looked at me and told me I would be carzy not to buy it. I was flawless. The compression test was perfect and he said it could probably use a tune up. Some older guy took care of it perfectly. Well I will keep filling you guys in on what I am doing. I will probably need some help down the line.

Congrats on the car! Post some pics when you can get some taken.

Also, even with the low miles, make sure to get all the fluids and filters changed so you know where you stand (most of those probably have never been touched all these years).

Sounds like you got a great car. It shows there are still good ones out there. You may need to change some fluids, but if the mileage is that low, you really don't have to change the sparkplugs or even the air filter right away. Let us know how it's running, and if there are any hidden surprises. I'd be interested to know. And of course, post some pics.

$24,500.... But you can't beat a silver with 11,300 miles. I've always liked the silver and black (CYM goes without saying) FD's the best. Welcome to the club! Be sure to do the reliability mods...http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/reliability.html. They'll really prolong the engine's life, especially since the miles are so low to begin with.

Exclamation

I hate to be a sceptic, but... that's only 1130 miles per year, assuming everything is original. So that would mean it was never driven, and it's spent 99% of its time garaged. Who owns a sports car and never drives it?

you must have the lowest mile FD on this forum. **** your car hasn't even had 45 tanks of gas! Im sure you have the original tires... better replace them Im sure they are hard.
Great find! Good luck!
