Anyone have pics of a modded AC line for this kit?? I heard you can cut the lines and turn them around and reweld them and its way better then bending them and risk cracking.. I have to evac my system anyhow so I might just do that.. Don't know where they are talking about? I'm waiting on the bank transfer to go through, then I'll have a Vmount headed my way..

I have some pics of the a/c con. with a moc install. I figured out the brakets and bend most of the lines. I have one more to bend. I will try and have pics post by the weekend. :cool:

As far as having line for the a/c made that is a great idea. For know I just want to get it in and get myother things done so I can have the car done for stock seven.:fingersx:

Not sureon the under tray. I have not gotten to the point of fitting it back on.

I also got word this week that my volk RE30s will be in at the end of the month. I order them back in march. :bigthumb:

Here are more pics. I will now clean the casting flaws in my JDM y-pipe set, cut a pipe to fit the ic pipe to Greddy elbow. I also need to get a blow off valve and flange welded on the elbow.

A friend and I will gasket match the y-pipe kit and my lim and uim. At this time I will be installing my vac hoses. I am also thinking of installing bigger secondaries at this time. Not sure if I will.

Were can I get a good deal on uim, lim gaskets and 99 spec y-pipe gaskets. I will also need the mid pipe gaskets.

Ray Crowe at Malloy can get you the UIM, LIM, and Midpipe gasket. I normally just go to the parts store and get a midpipe gasket though. The parts store should have a gasket that will work with your 99spec y-pipe.

I looked at your pics with respect to the condenser and it looks like the the condenser is now inverted, with the liquid line (the smaller of the two) exiting the condensor at the top. This is not the optimal setup as the condenser uses gravity to aid in the process of liquid/vapor separation and to insure that liquid state refrigerant enters the line to the receiver. While the inverted configuration may work--somewhat--it will significantly reduce system capacity because an excess of uncondensed refrigerant vapor will escape the condenser and flow to the expansion valve.

Wheres FDEZZ on this one? Any pics from him? Also some Power Steering cooler pics?

If I am not mistaken the line has always been at the top. With the kit the condensor sites higher then stock.

I will have to look at some old pics. If this does change the proformance of the a/c at least I have something. A lot of people take their out. I did not want to do this. I need some form of a/c

I just looked at a pic. You are right about the condensor. This will most likely change the preformance of the a/c but by how much I am not sure. I am willing to find out and hopefully It will not change to much.

Couldn't the lines be swapped or the condenser turned around so the liquid line exits on bottom? Should work better? No?

The condensor is not symetrical in its internal construction, so you just can't swap lines (they are different sizes anyway). You can, however, turn it over to get the lines into the correct positions. This will require that the lines be reworked again, and that the compressor discharge and/or condensor inlet be modified to get it hooked up. I made an extention piece out of an old line to get the compressor discharge connected to the condensor inlet without extensive bending.

I was thinking of doing this last night when in bed. I will try this out this weeked if I have time.

In a/c, most of the heat is removed when the refrigerant changes from a liquid to a vapor state. If you don't have liquid present at the expansion valve, then you can only superheat the vapor. The short story is that it starves the evaporator and behaves like the system is low on refrigerant. You may also notice a pronounced hissing sound coming from the evaporator as well.

I have changed the A/C condensor and have to make a new braket to mount it. I also have my intakes off and twins off. I have made the big step to pull the engine and port it. I am also going to go singal turbo. I will start to sell my twin stuff that I have. I also have enfie y pipe that has not been installed as well as two other twins.

Hey guys I am still researching the turbo I will go with. I know it will be one of the A-spec tuning kits just not sure witch one.
