Pics of the radiator in? Did you have to have the A/C replumbed?

Pics of what is installed so far. Hard to understand the directions. I do not read or understand Japaness.

I am glad that I do not have to fab a kit from scratch. This is frustrating try to figure out if this is correct.

Any one who has this kit, please let me know if I am on the right track. Any help would be great.

A/c not in yet. Yes you have to bent the lines.

FDeez 07-05-07 10:40 AM

Keep going, based on what I remember from installation, you're on the right track. Your power steering cooling lines will either have to be trimmed or you'll have to get a new after market cooler.

Do you know how the coolent hoses go?

I think I am going to cut the p/s pipe.

swif 07-05-07 02:58 PM

When taking everything apart I found a little bit of oil coating the pipes for intercooler and along the air filter seal.

Is this a sign of turbo going bad?

What can I do other then getting a good used set or rebuilding?

I have some pics of the install I found online. It uses the old style radiator but the hose connections are the same. WHen I get home from work I will e-mail what I have to you.

I thought the KS kit came with the right coolant hoses.

TRISPEEDFD3S 07-05-07 07:05 PM

Def3 that hose you have in that pic up there is suppose to go the other way towards the bent tube from the radiator. I believe you have 3 hoses. The lower radiator outlet uses two of those hoses. One of the hoses is hooked up to the straight tube and arched towards the lower outlet, and the lower out has the other hose pointed towards the straight tube. There's a metal piece that connects the two. I think it has a nipple on this piece. That bent tube has one hose which connects to the upper radiator outlet. Sounds confusing but if you give me your email I can email you some photos I got from FDeez.

Thanks guys, I checked both sites and they do not have silicone hoses for the ast. Do you have to make your own?

Will try and post more pice in the next day or so.

FD3S2005 07-06-07 01:53 AM

what are you looking for? silicone hoses like in the engine bay? you would have to buy a kit for that that comes with alot of hoses for the whole car.

swif 07-06-07 02:00 AM

I am looking for the ast hoses in silicone. As far as a whole kit were would I get this and what does it come with?

Are we talking all coolent hoses for the car?

You're going to have to bend the hell out of those AC lines to make it fit, good luck to ya. I don't see why they wouldn't have included new A/C lines that work correctly, or mount the inlet/outlet in a more A/C friendly location.

Here are some pics of the hoses un cut and then cut. I am trying to figure out the a/c con. mounting.

TRISPEEDFD3S 07-06-07 09:04 PM

I see it's coming along...

Having someone translate the Instuctions. Hopefully this will help.

If what I'm seeing in the photos is correct (it's a bit blurry), that A/C line running under the cross brace needs to be extended in order to clear the radiator hose AND attach back to the fitting that goes to the heater core. If you remove that line, and bring it to an A/C shop, they can do it for you. That's what I had to do.

As for the A/C lines going to the evaporator canister, just work VERY SLOW, and in small sections, and you'll be fine.
