Hi guys. Does anyime have a close up picture of the small rack that holds the solinoids? I'm new to this and I am sure mine is different to the pics I have seen on here. Cheers

Ha ha ha. It's fine if you guys want to show other people this, but like I said originally the files are only up there temporarily. Oh and don't try to post on there, because it is not linked to the forum in any way what so ever.

I agree with Mahjik though. That may be the setup you have if you don't have the same rat's nest as us.

VTAOE,

Toss me a message when/if you can't host it any more. I've got space where I can host it.

yep thats what i have. My car is jap spec right hand drive of course(for NZ). its a 96 series 7. I have a secondry boost problem the same as speeddemon7. He ended up haveing a vacum leak to one of the solnoids (the charge control I think) I have pulled apart my car and relaced just about every hose I could find but still no luck. The solinoids all check out electronically. But could they still be faulty? Don't know if I can check them individualy with my set up of the sealed box rats nest. Any other ideas guys. I am going a little crazy. I want my second turbo to boost.

Just because the solenoids check out doesn't necessarily mean they are okay. If it seems like one of them is having trouble opening or doesn't open all the way immediately then that may be the culprit. You should also check all of the check valves (the green/white and green/black ones) and make sure that they open easily. If you take them off and blow through them with your both (since they are one way valves) if they open easily then you are okay. If it takes quite a bit of force then you should probably replace.

Just a few suggestions. My second turbo wasn't working either and it took me about 2 months to figure it out while doing a lot of reading on the turbo system.

Mahjik, as far as the files go let me put it like this. I just finished grad school and supposedly Virginia Tech will eventually close down all of my accounts and privileges at VT. That includes email and this service where I stored the files. Over the years I have saved a lot of threads from the forum and I would like to post them some where for others to see, but I just don't have a place with that kind of storage. However, if I do decide to take those JDM files off of my VT account then I will let you know so that you can host them. Incase you are wondering where my user name came from I was in the Aerospace and Ocean Engineering program at Virginia Tech, hence VTAOE.
