Hum, this isn't the response I was expecting from a rotary forum. I just thought that's how crappy rotary engines sounds. So you're saying the sound will change if he changes the CB? It's still going to be strait through unless he gets a chambered muffler which I don't think he's going to go for.

They sound really mean to me. I would love to drive around with ethier two of those sounds. I wouldn't mess with a car that sounded like that.

that thare sounds purty. is that one of them V6 rotary's? 'cause it sounds kinda like pa's truck.

That's one of the better sounding rotary's that i have listened to.

That's one of the better sounding rotary's that i have listened to.
it has a chevy 305 V8. As soon as I get my FD up, I'm most likely going to drop an LT1 in it, redo the exterior, and keep it as my daily

Nope. It's mostly about the muffler.
Take me for example. I got no cats and running a Borla dual tipped exhaust, and it has one of the lowest tones you would ever hear from a a catback, and as RPMs go up, so does the pitch.

I've heard the N1s several times with no cats. IMHO, it sounds like borderline rice. It's just TOO tinny.
