It's just hard to believe that someone who works Fast Food and throws a crying fit about how mommy and daddy wont buy him new turbos has alot of money.

I'm not a big fan of knock-offs but I know I wouldn't be too happy either if I just paid $2100 for an authentic Scoot hood and it fit like ***. I know fiberglass body kits never fit perfectly without a little work, but damn that Scoot hood on Chuck's site isn't even close. One of the reasons people are willing pay more for the original is because people come to expect a certain degree of quality. I would rather pay $50 for a real Ralph Lauren Polo shirt than $5 for a cheap Polo knock-off from some guy on the side of the street not just because of the brand name itself, but also the quality I expect from that brand name.

I know it's only 1 hood out of however many Scoot has produced and it may not be representative of the quality of Scoot's hoods as a whole but Chuck's authentic Scoot hood seriuosly fits like crap and as Chuck mentioned, there's a pic of their hood on their own car that doesn't even fit right so I'm tempted to say other Scoot hoods will have fitment problems as well. IMHO, Chuck is actually producing a better product than Scoot is... Can I trust Scoot to guarantee the quality of their hoods? No. Can I trust Chuck to guarantee the quality of his knock-offs? Yes (I recall Chuck saying he would test fit all of the Feed bumper copies on his car before shipping them? Back me up and say yes Chuck, heh...) As a consumer, who would I rather buy from?

I know Chuck ripped off Scoot's design and Scoot ripped off Porsche. You can say Porsche doesn't make a hood for the FD so it's ok, but this exactly what a lot of companies that produce parts for ricers do. C-West doesn't make a bumper for the Nissan Sentra so is it ok to take a C-West bumper for a FD and somehow alter it to fit a Sentra, make a mold of it and then call it Type CW and sell thousands of them? Just because they produce it for a car it was never meant for (for obvious reasons), it doesn't make it ok. They are still ripping of C-West's DESIGN... If it's possible, someone should compare the size/shape of the vents on the Scoot hood to original Porsche hood, I wouldn't be all that surprised if Scoot took a Porsche hood and altered it to fit the FD and made a mold of it.

BTW, I don't even want a Scoot hood at all and I don't own any knock-off parts...

Ladies Ladies... Can I get in on this action???

Jim: Your at it again? You'll never change with your smart *** comments will you? I hate little men in little worlds like yourself... I saw the gap in the hood and asked how would a latch would close it and he said that it was not tacked down all the way, was I going to say he's full of ****? No. Cause I wasn't there in person to see what's going on. I like how you said: "The bumper isn't sagging, there's just an extraordinarly large gap at the front of the hood, which I'd expect from a knock-off part. " So... You think you know exactly what's going on just by looking at a picture? Is that how much master. Jim knows about everything? You Make Me Sick. Oh oh here's another good one: "RX7 RAGE, if you don't like my opinion, that's fine. You posted the pictures to show off, and you have to expect that some of the comments you'll get aren't going to be positive. That's life. If you have such thin skin that you can't deal with some criticism, then you probably shouldn't post at all. " JimLab,
if you don't like my opinion about Vipers, that's fine. You posted a smart *** remark and you have to expect that some of my comments you'll get aren't going to agree with you. That's life. If you have such a thin skin that you can't deal with it when somebody doesn't like a Viper then you probably shouldn't post at all. See how stupid it looks at the other end of the light?

Want2race: I don't know who the hell you are but you seem like a *****. You go off on how you think replicas are wrong, well what do you think about Scoot ripping off porsh? Kinda like how the C5 stole the FD's looks

C'mon ladies, let's have a little game of internet war shale we?
Nick

Nick, when you're finished jacking off because you think you've scored a triumphant victory, you might want to read what you posted and take a moment to reflect on how pathetic it looks. Your precious little feelings got hurt in another thread, and after slapping you around a little, I laid off because it's not your fault you haven't been on the planet long enough to develop an intelligent opinion about anything. But here you are again, like a little puppy, pissing on post after post without anything really intelligent to say or valuable to add from what I've seen. Your net worth to this forum is probably negative, and that's being generous. You're a drain on bandwidth, nothing more.

What do you bring to the table? Profound wisdom such as "I hate Vipers because other cars can be made faster". Excellent. You're a pathetic little pasty-faced 15 year old forum troll with a picture of someone else's car for your avitar, and you spend your day lurking on the forum because you have no friends and we know damn well you're not getting any action from the ladies. The only thing you've got going for you is an internet connection that mom and dad are probably paying for, and free room and board. And you're going to school me???

Bring it on.

YEA copies suck...Jim buy my kit

Sorry shameless plug.

Honestly one of the reasons why I'm not rebuilding my FD is that it is no longer original and there are too many "kids" buying cheap ones and blowing them up or ricing them out. Flame me if you want but in Los Angeles it is gettin worse.

Even look at some of the newer questions on the forum. Unfortunatley our cars have become very affordable when at one time it was a special group of us.

I'm sure that most of you who have been on the forum are past your late 20's some even way past. And there is a reason for that...the FD was not supposed to be a car anyone could buy or should buy.

Looks like I may get a EVO VII next year and use all my connections to build that. I hear rumors of 35k for it now which is disappointing but in a way good that means less people will buy it.

Everyone knows that I despise knockoffs and spent a lot of time and money for the KnightSports parts...it's just a sad fact that in the United States aftermarket industry copies are a way of business. Copies only have to be something like 15% different then the original and just changing the material qualifies it. So that's a bitch. That's another reason why VOLK and ADVAN can't go after Konig or ADR....

Did I say that? Assume what you want...But I'm tired of seeing the FD cheapened...The fact that you do not like copies either..you should have an idea of what I am getting at.
