Pic Request: 2 & 3 Gauge Pillar Mount

I'm trying to decided between the 2 or 3 gauge pillar mount. I'd prefer to stick 3 gauges on the pillar, but don't want the are to look 'too busy' if you know what I mean. So if somebody has a pic of an installed 2 or 3 gauge pillar pod, please post. Thanks

Not the best pic for the gauges, but this is my favorite.

Those gauge pods and steering wheel look out of place with the lines of the interior...

If a three pod is done right, it works well, I had to because the previous owner had installed elcheapo one gauge and two gauge together on the stock piece. I replaced it with a full pillar three gauge and the temps gauges on the bottom flush and boost gauge at top. As you can see by the pic there is plenty of room now and doesn't get in the way of viewing too bad.

Where'd you get your pillar mount? I really like the placement of the gauges on yours.

IMO, if you need to have 3 gauges, put 2 in the pillar and one on the steering column:

If you need more gauges then three, just use a commander for an aftermarket ECU as you won't be able to watch all of them at the same time anyway. You'll need to do it from a logging standpoint.

I couldn't find any full pillar pods on rx7store.net. Is it better to just get the partial pillar pods, that way you can position the gauges wherever you like? How does it look with only a partial pillar? In the pic you posted, you can't tell... but how does it look from the side?

As long as you take your time on the install, it will come out very clean.

I meant a pic installed on a car... kind of hard to judge how it looks unless it's installed.

This place has good selection and good prices...

http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?...d_93-95&Cart=1

I had a 3 pod full pillar Autometer and went to a 2 pod full pillar Autometer. Both have good fit and finish. I don't like the look of guages everywhere as I think it looks kind of rice. Add a narrow band O2 and it's rice for sure . I have a VDO boost guage (I painted bezel silver) & WBO2 (Innovative XD-1) in the pillar and the Commander where the ashtray was. The XD-1 is a little rice but very functional so it's ok. I guess I'm agreeing with Mahjik again .
