Mmmm, nice car. I seriously just got chills looking at you car, god i love the FD Wow......8 years?
RX-8 is nice, may not be nicer than the FD but i still like it. Now a FD and a RX-8....that would be sweet.

It should be illegal to sell a CYM for anything less than the 787B!! Such a rare and gorgeous color for FD's. I think that you should keep your CYM and buy an RX-8 as well. Just my .02 Laterz.

The rx8 is a fine car, but since you already own a FD I don't think you would gain much by switching.
+extra seats: do you really care????
+better gas mileage, more reliability, higher redline
+longer suspension arms which are supposed to give it more consistent handling at the limit
-less power, less TORQUE
-styling by the marketing department: it's a mazda so it has to smile!
-awkward rear windows, door cut lines, Pt cruiser fenders, s2000 take off tail and headlights: Does anybody really think it's timeless, original or beautiful?
-cheap looking interior: the fd interior is cheap but it's hard to tell until you touch anything.
-another rx7 is just around the corner. you've had your FD for 8 years why settle for an rx8 now when you can have 2 7s parked side by side in 2 years

Hey Rotor3 you've been a member since 01. So you've been here a while.
I own a cym aswell, but already in love with the RX8.
Have you seen the video that someone posted in the launge?

I never did like the look of the big exhaust. Some 99 spec tail lights would look nice too. Other than that, it's a nice, and very clean car. The rims work well on it. If you plan on going with an RX-8 though, it wouldn't hurt either. I personally would stay with the FD- with the above changes of course.
