Photochop stock wheels in bronze[PIC]
\
I really like the Advan Model 5's but Advan is expensive and I'm cheap.
So I was thinking of maybe just having my stock ones powder-coated. Seems to be the in thing as of late.
I liked the Advan's in bronze but I dont know about the stockers... or how it looks on a MB... I'm worried it is 'ghetto-fabulous'... opinions?
P.S., I'm also looking at maybe trying to widen the stock 16" wheels from 8" to 9" and 9.5", I dont know where I could get something like that done or how expensive it would be though. I really like the stock wheels look just they arent wide enough.

Hey that looks purty damn nice!!!! Don't quote me on this but I hear that powerdercoating a rim won't hold up against the suns uv. Eventually it will end up fading within a year or so, I could be wrong. This is coming from a powder coating shop here in Washington.

I say do it, and then let us see. I actually like how it's glossy it stands out more. I doubt you'll be able to figure out a way to get the rims wider. But the other is definetly possible.

I dunno, I'm having bad visions of 'gold-clad' Toyota Corollas... if anyone knows what I'm talking about. I'm not sure if the color of the wheel will be too much of a contrast to the MB color. :/
I'll start looking around for powdercoaters tomorrow and see what they have, I may just go with the 'near-chrome' that I've seen in the past that looked good. It wasnt like the color of the wheel now just smoothed out and glossier, showing more detail of the wheel, which is the great thing about powdercoating.
