PFS Purple Box INTERACQ No Longer Sold

I have been looking for months now for the Interacq...Doug at EFI no longer sells it and Plus One Micro carries the newest version which is incompatible with the PFS Purple Box...now requires 500 dollar update of chips in the pfs box..

Does anyone have this software. I woud def be willing to pay for it.

As I understand it, it some how knows when it is first used with a purple box and then is no longer able to be used with any other purple box. Your only luck would be to find the software unused or a hacked copy of it. I have never heard of anyone sucessfully hacking it on this forum.

People still use this thing? Get a PFC man.

Have you contacted PFS?

You might try PM'ing "zullo" here on the forum. He had the PFS a few years ago and I believe he was able to get a hold of the software. He may still have it (if he actually got what you are looking for).

ive pm'd him and someone else. Donno what to do....PFC is just so much money for what I am doing...all I want is a good afr on the stock fuel and twins...no need for a 600+ standalone which cant tune even as good as the PMS/Interacq combo unless you pay another 300 for a datalogit. I just need the higher resolution of the software.

the pfs purple box is only good for the Auto guys. with the pfc around why would you use this out dated box. your motor is worth the $600.00 for the pfc. don't go cheep on this car or you'll be sorry.

im using a profec b spec II boost controller rather than the controller built into the PFS....whats wrong with the PFS i just dont understand why throw this in the trash....how can it possibly be a motor eater? I can adjust the fuel curve to within 500rpms..yea its not advanced as the PFC but im not tuning a gt35 here...

Then just buy a used Pettit ecu for $400 or less and call it a day. You can sell it for the same price you bought it for when you can step up to a PFC. And you can tune the PFC MUCH better than the Purple box with just the Commander.

Anyway, follow Mahjk's advice. It's too bad Wade's not around anymore, he had the software I believe.

PFS with InterACQ Windows on my 93 R1

I just got a 93 R1 with the PFS and InterACQ software (both Version 1 and update V2 original discs). Loaded software, but cannot connect with the PFS. Talked with both PFS and Micro 1 Plus (InterACT) without any help or direction. Sounds like the software locks the disc after originally being loaded and connected to a PFS (probably reads PFS Prom and writes to disc). Anyone been able to hack the software? InterACQ rep said I need to find original computer onto which software was originally loaded to get the file needed. Trying to contact original owner addressed on the original envelope.

Anyone skilled at programming the PFS without the InterACQ software????

It appears that some people just are addictive to old band-aid technology.

I'm pretty good with the purple and what not - unfortunately you're not close at all for me to really be able to help. PM me if you have any specific questions.

You would have to pay me $5000 to put a PFS computer on my car.

IIRC, for auto guys, this is their only reasonable aftermarket ECU solution which still retains the hold function.

^ Yeah, unfortunately there's no cure for the real problem with an automatic.

it's pretty bad when your engine management predates something as antiquated as the Power FC.

even worse when you won't let go of it in an effort to save your $10k+ investment.

i've bought up used PFCs in the for sale section for as low as $500 and if you're patient a datalogit for $150.

i've messed with the PFS, it's like playing on a commodore 64. and the fact it's a piggback is why it is a motor eater, piggybacks add another failure point into the equation as they are unreliable. you're modifying signals, something is bound to get interpolated incorrectly sooner or later.
