Pfs: Please Read
Ok, need to set the record stright about a few things. Lets start with the facts. I took my car to PFS about 3 weeks ago, and it has been looked at a little by his awesome tech.....fact. At first I got a run around about my car and was later informed that jeff no longer worked there and that Peter was handling things at the shop.....fact. Now I got some answers today about my car...which I wasnt expecting yet. I talked to his tech again today and he had givin me some pointers and some things to keep an eye out for. Well Peter wasnt there at first, but did show up after a few minutes. He came in, made sure who I was and shook my hand. We then spent the better part of about 2 hours going over things and what I was looking for, and where I should be going with my car. He showed me around and told me about his past a little bit, race history, etc. In the meantime.....phones were ringing, there were people he had to talk to, he had to help his tech on a car. In fact every time I go in there hes runnin around doin something. Now keep in mind...Its just the two of them. So we talked for awhile and I got some good advise from him. Now, phones are ringing and hes got customers breathing down his neck about cars hes working on, selling, etc. and he takes 2 HOURS out of his chaotic schedule to sit with me, show me around, and give me advise......and basically, HELP me out. Now my question is to those that posted on the DONT GO TO PFS post. Have any of you actually talked to him personally?? Have any of you actually asked him a question?? This was, for the most part, handled by jeff stevens. I found out REAL quick that when you sit and talk to the guy, you get a FULL understanding of what his shop is all about. Just look at the name Peter Ferrell SUPERCARS, and lets face it people, wether you have a stock 3rdgen or a 3 rotor single turbo, they are just that, SUPERCARS. And that is what his business is all about, building and upgrading SUPERCARS. If any of you had actually taken the time as I did to sit and chat with him, he is actually a great guy who loves the 3rdgen and loves working on them. Being short staffed at the moment has made it a little hard to get things done in a timely fassion.
Unfortunately I got caught in the middle of a lot of changes in the PFS business. When I posted that article about PFS I had been misinformed about my car and there was some confusion. Having been a service advisor myself I can fully sympathise with a miscomunication in the chain of people. AND, having been in there and SAT down with the man, I realized that he is more then happy to work on ANYBODYS car. He tends to want to stay away from small jobs for the simple fact that he is understaffed at the moment. PFS is a VERY good place to take your 3rdgen for upgrades and Performance.
What it boils down to is this......TRUTH
Peter Ferrell, despite what people think about him, has told me the honest to god truth about my car, and has never made a promise to me he could not keep. I was assured by jeff that my car would have been done sooner then now, BUT, remember that they had a full staff. In there present situation it comes down to Priority. Again, having been a service advisor, I know ALL about Priority. Priority is everything in the Automobile business. Some may argue that customer satisfaction comes first, well you are ALSO right. The bad thing is that there is a Blurred line betwen the two and sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. Customers sometimes catch the bad end of the deal, but when talked to and reasoned with, the customer is Always happy.
The bottom line here folks is that I am a PFS customer and will remain a PFS customer as long as I live in VA. Some of you may BASH me for doing so, But before you do so, try stopping into PFS first and see for yourself. The old saying goes here......Dont knock it till you try it. I can say that you will get one thing when visiting.......the truth. Something that a lot of businesses lack.
Remember.......the truth is often times something people dont like to hear. And can get a lot of people angry. But would you rather be lied to and let down???? Does that make any sense???
Well this will be my last post about this subject, and I hope the last for a lot of you as well.
