I plan on getting a MIDPIPE soon,
when I get my PFC.

From the research I done...
People say that the PFC sucks as a boostcontroller.
Is this true?? any opinions on this???

Would the PFC be good enough to fix the
boost creeps with the MIDPIPE??

OR do I have to Shell out MORE $$$ on top of the
PFC for a boost controller???

You should be fine with the PFC on stock turbos with slight mods. I just have a full exhaust and intake. The PFC suits me great.

I did the PFC and the Intercooler at the same time and I noticed that it controls boost very well. I think the pressure drop of a much larger intercooler than stock helps to fight boost creep and spikes. I have a Dp and MP as well as M2 Med intercooler and M2 intake. I might spike 1 psi on transition but it controls it well enough for the 12 psi I run.

Base map... until I step up with next mod, say injectors or so. Mods are below.

I am happy with the MP, got it on the forum for $100. It's only mild steel but oh well, not something that you can see really. My car has a quieter tone than most I have heard because of the Racing Beat Catback. I dont think MPs vary in sound unless you have a resonator in it or something.

 

I've noticed that once I went with the fmic, I started to boost creep. The PFC works well for stock turbo's. If you get a 3 bar map, you can boost higher also. I have seen a few FD's here with the 3 bar map and boost control kit, and it's worked fine for their FD's so I don't see why they won't work.

Base Mod Map. I have good o2 Voltage so I didnt worry about reprograming it for now.
