Geez- and I thought I was the only nitpicker that didn't like the way stuff fit...

I have the Pettit one. Attaching it with RTV seems to work just fine. I was skeptical at first, but it hasn't fallen off yet.
I didn't like the high angle the Pettit pod points the gauge relative to the dash gauges, so I put it on a belt sander and dropped the front of it substantially.
To determine the new line, I mounted the gauge, put some clay underneath it, mounted the pod, squished and measured the width of the clay to determine how much room it could be dropped. I also measured the clearance of the side stalks. With this info I figured the line I could sand it down to.
I also would recommend the 0-15 PSI VDO gauge. It looks absolutely stock, is cheap and provides the most signal range for the boost range of the stock twins. Most other gauges just have to show 25-30 PSI of boost, with vacuum, jamming the usable range of the gauge into what seems like about two degrees of needle travel. When I want vacuum, I get it off the commander.

I wish I would have found this thread sooner!!! I ourchased this pod from Petit thinking that I wanted less clutter and try to make the gauge install as stock looking as possible. THIS MUST BE THE WORSE SPENT $100 OF MY LIFE!!! I am extremely disappointed!! Just received the item last thursday, installed it on Friday, and by Saturday I was already looking for a replacement!! I think I am going to go with a 2 gauge or 3 gauge A-Pillar mount. Exactly what I was trying to avoid!

I ran this pod for a very short while and was never really happy with the fit. I too, felt as though it could have had more work put into making it fit better. I tried modding it, but never was satisfied. I think I sold it for $20 just to get rid of it.

I have to agree with everyone else. This pod is pretty crappy. I would have just sticky taped a gauge cup if I'd known..... Oh well it will do for now.
Wont buy from Pettit ever again. Waited 3 wks for some basic tune up parts, couplers. Rediculous!!!

Not sure why you guys are having problems. I wonder if they changed design.
But I like mine. Been on there for at least a decade now. Had it off a few times for one thing or another. Looks good IMO. Just a little bit of silicone at the tabs is all that keeps it there.

3 or 4 days to get the part delivered from Pettit... 30 minutes with a dremel tool, some sand paper and 4 dabs of rtv for fitment... Looks nice... No worries...
