Question Pettit Racing... whats the opinions?

Interest'd in hearing opinions on them.

I do not ever see people talking about them much at all... not popular as some other tuners or what?

Hook me up with the low down.

Excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject... I am a newbie.

From what I have seen and read though... I think I will want some of their products.

I like them. I've had much better experience with them than M2 as far as customer service goes. I've had the best experience with the RX-7 store though. I think the parts at Pettit are good in general although they can be pricey in some cases.

Sweet...

Thats what I have been reading/ hearing from other sources as well... glad to hear it.

They got some pretty nice hp numbers too, the ones they give at least.

RexTech: How are their upgrade'd twins, which ones did you get? How about the street port motor?

Most of everything on my car is from Pettit too. I don't have any complaints about them except being a bit pricey. But hey you get what you pay for.

My twins are the HYBRID HIGH-FLOW TWIN TURBO

They begins to compress at 3000 rpm -about 3 psi- are very powerful, now I´m installing a Profec B boost controller that I bought from Pettit -they are not building their boost controller , any more- because my boost goes to 15 psi very easy and I don´t want to blow my engine. I can reach 12 psi in 2° gear near 8000 rpm. I´m running single turbo. Maybe because I only have a free flow resonator and a big apexi muffler, no cat nor pre-cat.

About the ported engine, I think it gives about +50hp, the driving is not good at low rpm when i´m taking the car out of my parking -maybe because the aluminium flywheel-, but it kicks everywhere, everyday

I have only 5000 miles with my car and no problems TG, and everything seems to be OK.

I can not say any more because this car is my first turbo and I didn´t drive another turbo car before than mine, so I don´t know what is the behavior of a stock rex. I would like to.

pettit web: www.pettitracing.com

My mods:

*3 mm apex seals street ported engine.
*High flow turbos- running single-.
*DP
*free flow resonator
*Apexi muffler.
*Pettit unlimited ECU.
*J&S knock sensor -just trying to tune it- Could somebody help me?
*Profec B boost controller.
*Pettit Air separation tank.
*Aluminium fly wheel.
*Short shifter.
*Eibach springs.
*Hawk street brake pads.
*Magnecor 10 mm plug wires.
*K&N air filter into the stock intake.
*Autometer boost gauge.- Pettit steering wheel mount-
*Autometer water temp gauge.
*Autometer Air/Fuel Gauge.

All my fluids are Motul. Using synthetic in the gearbox and differential.

I use 100 ml of 2 times engine synthetic oil each gas tank.
95 octanes unleaded gasoline.

They were very good to me when I had a super chip type mod on my computer (came that way) and wanted their computer upgrade. Instead of ripping me off they gave me a discount because one of the chip locations was already socketed. Everything else I have bought came in a timely manner and has been A+ quality. My only gripe would be their shipping costs. $12.50 for a gauge pod and $13 for an AST. Come on now...
