I am looking into purchasing a Pettit High flow cat does anyone have one and did it change the performance and sound? What kind of sound is it??

I don't know about the Pettit Hi-Flo cat per say, but I would assume just about all hi-flo's alter the sound to some extent. It will also depend on the cat-back as well for the sound.

Of course the hi-flos are designed to flow better than the stock cat, so yes they alter/enhance performance of the car.
