I read alot about the switch and installed it this weekend in my car. Now when the fans come on(very loud) they sometimes come on then shut off then come right back on and shut off. Then sometimes they will come on and stay on like normal the shut off like normal.

What could the problem be? Is there anything else I have to do or unplug to get the fans to come on and shut off properly? It's almost like the sensor reads the temp to turn on then thinks it's cooled down so it shuts them off, but this is all in a split second. (on,off,on,off) then they will stay on and turn off like normal.

 

same thing happened to me when i first installed the switch, after driving for maybe a month? the issue went away and my fans always turn off after i remove the key.

 

I would call Pettit and ask them about it. I have not had that issue.
