Very effective hood. Looks great too. I was just at Pettit a couple weeks ago and was looking at it again. They use it on both their Banzai and their GT car, and it does it's job well on those. I don't know if I will, but I'm considering getting it.

Here is the shot from their online catalog

That little black piece at the front is their front glove (vinyl).

pricelist shows 925. They have a new fiberglass 4 vent hood (650), but I can't find a picture of it...

Their 4 vent hood is basically the Knightsports 4 vent hood. There's a picture of it on the yellow car here http://www.pettitracing.com/sections/matt%20smith.htm.

Atihun's hood is another beautiful option.

having seen it recently...does the opening conform to the stock shape or does it protrude...in other words...if looking side view....is the vented area noticable... as in ....is theres a portion of the vent hood that rises.. ?
hard to tell from the angle of the pettit ad shot

If I remember correctly, it does have a small lip at the front of the opening (which is a good thing). There's some more pictures of it on their website here http://www.pettitracing.com/sections/Banzai.html and on their "whats new" page (look at the white GT car, it has that hood on it). I have other pictures of this hood somewhere, I'll have to find them.
