Passenger Window Wont Go Up!

Window hasn't been working , so I took off the door panel and unplugged the switch to motor plug. Took direct 12v to the wires going to the rugulator. Window went down fine.

Now that it's down, applying power in the opposite direction the motor hums but the window doesn't budge.

Is there a way to manually raise the window?

I've sprayed lubricant down the window rails to see if I can loosen it, but no change.

Thanks

There is no way to manually move the window up. As you said, swapping power and ground should make it move in the opposite direction. If not; you probably have a faulty regulator and should replace it as soon as possible

Really? No way to get the window up without the motor?

Can you somehow unhook the regulator, move the window up by hand and then reattach.
