Passenger window switch removal

Hi guys,

I'm trying to remove the passenger door panel trim. To do that I have to remove the window switch to access a screw. I'd like to know how to remove it without breaking everything. In the pics you can where I'm at. The switch is kind of stuck. I can't pull it more than this. Do you guys have any tip?

Thanks.

Been fiddling with my pass door parts all week. There are tabs midway on the left and right side of the switch itself. Near the molds ridges in your second pic. Press one side in with a small flat blade and it will release. Then do the other side. HTH.

You mean that I didn't have the remove the plastic piece around the switch? The flat blade must be inserted between that plastic and the switch?

It really just pops out. You're like 3 seconds from having it removed.

It has two tabs on either side that hold it in place. Normally just prying with a soft pry tool will pop the thing out.

Like Dale said, it pops out, but only like 3/16 - 1/4". Then you need to depress the tab on each side to release it completely.
