Exclamation Parking brake light??

Just recently after i disengage my parking brake and start driving the light comes back on. It seems only to do this when accel through a turn or take off a little faster than leisure driving. Has anyone had this problem and if they have please help its making paranoid thinking i might be dragging the parking brake at hard accel.

The reason your parking brake keeps coming on at accelaration is because your the brake is loose. Check your parking brake, Move it up ever so slightly and the light will come on, by doing that you will also notice that the brake should be tighter.

It's just a matter of adjustment no biggie.

can someone confirm for me that this is also sometimes caused by low brake fluid levels?
i think in an older car of mine this is the case.

Yes, low brake fluid will also cause the light to come on - I think this is more common than a misadjusted parking brake.

There are a few more causes for that light than just the handbrake adjustment. Check this thread as it goes through a few more causes that you might need to check out as well:

yes, the switch may also have gotten moved slightly or simply worn so bad that the lever does not open the circuit when it is released

yeah low brake fuild would cause the light to come on. But I'd figured that everyone knew that. As in when the coolant light comes on = low on coolant.

Mine does the same thing, the lever moves up very slightly during acceleration and the light is triggered.
