Well, I{ have decided to be completly paranopid about this and post. I was sitting at a light when I think I noticed my engine check light come on for like half a second, assuming it had just came on when I noticed it. I hit the gas and it went off. No problems the rest of the night. I'm seriously a freak.

 

well if its off, it means nothing is picked up by the sensors. Just check all fluids, if its fine, its fine.

 

Do a diagnostic test by shorting out the diagnostic box in the hood. If the check engine light came on for half a second, it was probably saved by the car's CPU and can be replayed for you - do a search on this. It could be a sensor that is blown (most likely).
