Parallel Fuel Rails

We all know that a parallel fuel rail setup is ideal. While my car is apart, I decided to replace the stock FPR with an aftermarket one and also remove the failure prone fuel damper. There are a lot of expensive fuel kits out there, but I didn't want to replace my fuel injectors and didn't want to spend that much on replacing the fuel rails.

Here is what I came up with:

Factory fuel rails taped with a 1/4" NPT tap and NPT brass fittings installed:

Here is the Aeromotive FPR and the rx7.com 5/16" adapter kit:

Thanks!

The whole engine is coming out along with the transmission. I'll be repainting the car blue so everything in the engine bay is coming out and being cleaned. I also need to reseal the oil pan with the oil pan brace, fix the 5th grear in the transmission, and replace the clutch... install the rx7store v-mount setup and brand new exhaust system that I have waiting (3" downpipe, rx7store midpipe, racing beat dual tip).

they look like adapters from an industrial hydraulics supplier... good chance they are Parker.

Might be this:

part # 50695K173 and then that is connected to a 1/4 male NPT barbed fitting for the fuel hose itself

You can buy everything for $25 from rx7.com:
http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fdfuel.html

It's the kit called "5/16 Hose Adaptor Kit for SX-6," however it works great for the aeromotive as well. It's also only $25.

Right now, I'm just waiting for my fuel y-block to arrive and the system will be complete.

I don't think a parallel system is needed for stock fuel rails but ether way you could have converted to AN fuel fittings with $100 using the Garfinkle adapters.

I am not knocking your fuel set up at all so don't take it the wrong way...

First of all, my fuel rail setup didnt cost $100. It was more like $20 worth of brass fittings. Second of all, I didnt want to do the AN fittings because I am not looking for the "bling bling" effect on my engine. That is pretty much the only benefit of the SS braided lines. The rubber lines do the job just as well and are much cheaper also. So Mobeorner, add it all up. $100 for the fual adapters plus another $150 for the braided fuel lines = $350. I only spent $20... if I was going to spend more than that then I would have just gotten a kit and put in top feed injectors.

Sorry, dont mean to knock your fuel setup but it doesnt make sense. Why spend so much money and still be stuck with the same type of fuel injectors? At least I only spent $20 and can reuse the FPR with a better fuel setup later on when I go single turbo.
