Painting engine bay this weekend (Pics)

I'm paingint my engine bay this weekend. I started pulling the motor last night on Friday at 6:00p.m. and had it out at 11:00p.m. I plan on getting it painted today on Saturday and then putting it all back together tomorrow on Sunday.

Just thought I'd share.

Must be so nice to have a full shop with a lift when you want to wrench on the car. Good luck.

I noticed the Normal, IL in your sig. I work in Bloomington, live in Lexington. I didn't know there was another FD in the Twin Cities. Very nice car. I'd like to see it in person. I'll bring my 94 FD. My work phone is 309-829-9411 x223. Ask for Dave.

Is that your garage? Which one is it?

LMAO that you pulled the entire subframe and axle. Looks really nice. I've always loved your car.

It wasn't very difficult. I've never pulled a motor out of anything, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Pulling it out this way seemed to make the most sense.

Here are a few more pics. Pics are before and after the engine bay is all cleaned and scuffing/sanding has begun. I also re did the seam sealer on the tops of the strut towers. The factory seam sealer was terrible.

Dropping themotor and subframe is good if you want to take everything out like to paint it, but you should get an alignment afterwards.

Ahh. Here it is 10:30 on Saturday night, and the engine bay is painted. That leaves tomorrow for re-assembly.

How hard would it be to do without a lift with the car on jack stands or blocks?
Where did the pictures go?
