Painted my clear corner lights with smoked paint, pics

I had the clear corner lights on my car and it didn't look bad with my color paint, but I also have the rx7.com smoked bumper lights in front and wanted them to match.

Bought some smoke paint off the net and after a little advice from forum members and some trial and error it's done.

Tell me what you think...

Pics below.

P.S. Also installed new redline boots, pic also below.

If they were a little darker to come close to the paint on the FD I think they would look better. Just my .o2 though.

thanks,

i think maybe another coat or two. I have the smoked front turn sigs too and i was thinking of doing exactly what you did because i have clear side markers. Maybe its just the pics but i think they would need to be a lil darker to match the updated 93 smoked sigs.

how bout a front 1/4 shot so we get the front end and front fender

sure, I have a shot like that on my cardomain page:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2067608/1

Yeah I agree I would like a little darker myself, but ran out of paint, lol.

I am ordering more.

I also have the clear rear bumper (reverse) lights and I painted all 6.

Yes 2 more coats would be great.

Thanks for the props.

Thanks guys for all the comments.

My front bumper lights are from RX7.com

All the rest (4 signal lights and 2 reverse lights) are all ebay ones.

On the shift ****, I love it! Originally I had a round one but have since gotten used to my new one and the weight is perfect!

Nice car BTW!

I cut the old one off with a utility knife. I just cut it down the center and peeled it off.
