Painted Front Lip & Konig Flight Wheels
I'm curious if anyone has pictures of painted R1 front lips. I'm getting the car painted, and thought it may look good to paint the lip too. Any pictures would be great, but silver would be exceptional.
Also, Does anyone have pics of what 17 or 18 in Konig Flights look like on an FD?
Thanks for any help in advance.

how did you contribute towards helping him??
Cyberben3, i think the Konig's would look awesome on an FD. most Konigs are lightweight, and much cheaper than all the other rims out there. i personally think 18x8 (since thats the widest size they make) would look awsome on an FD, with 235-40/18s on all corners. that will give you the added traction over the stock 225s, and will look cool too!
i say go for it!

I helped him by recommending he not get the konigs because they usually don't make them any wider than 7.5" or 8.5" and the stock rims with good tires would handle better than a set of 18" konigs. How do I know they would handle better? I used to have a set... Plus the konigs I used to have had a cheap *** clear coat on them that started peeling after 9 months..
Don't get the Konigs if you care anything about performance/handling...

Ravenrx7 call whoever you bought them from and tell them that they are flaking.. See if you can get some kind of a replacment. You never know you might be able to. A girl told me about a year ago that Konig recalled the Toxxins for faulty clear coats, but I had already painted mine, so I didn't check it out..

The best part about the stock R1 lip for me is that I can scrape it and not have to worry about it. I use it like a drift plate so I think painting it would be as bad as having a body kit due to the nervousness involved with driving on some shitty *** roads. That silver one looks nice though, but I still wouldn't. As far as Konig wheels go. Kids, Just say No! Konings are a primarily Honda wheel. I have never owned any myself so I can't comment on their quality. But all I ever see Konig wheels on are Honda's. I just can't bring myself to ride on $100 rims. I have the nicest car on the road, maybe not mine personally but the 7 in general, and I will only buy parts that will compliment the car and it's quality. Don't go the cheap route and buy Wings West body kits either. Just my .02!

Yes--they are inexpensive. Yes they are used on a LOT of honda's. I had a set of tantrums on an acura legend--looked phat. They were cheap. they're light. they look good. and again, they were cheap. I'm debating.
