I have a '93 RX-7, I will be exhibiting my car into a car show and I just cannot get over the wonderful colours that my car is exibiting. The metal panels are one colour of red, the nose & rear bumper are anouther and my racing beat front and R1 tail yet anouther!! Yehaa I know the recalls were done on the front and rear bumpers I was just wondering am I alone with this patch look?

 

Nope...it's fairly common with VR and SS. It happens more on some cars for some reason or another (build date?)

 

There was no recall. Some people have just been very persuasive in getting mazda to buy them a new paint job. In severe cases.

Strange, I have the "chipping" problem, but the paint has faded pretty evenly across the car.

Can't wait for the repaint this summer!

 

Well after a bit of a talk to my buddies the car shall be brought to near perfection from the boys at RPM Racing. I am getting the Racing beat front end molded onto the stock so a seamless design should benefit the cars looks that mush more. Also on the agenda is the colour missmatch problem. I'll take pictures when she is done!
