Exclamation Overboost with Profec B

I think I have my profec B setup correctly... But I have it on the lowest of low settings, and it is still overboosting. I'm going to try swapping the lines from the turbo to the stepper motor to the wastegate... BUt I think I tried that already. A normal manual boost controler works fine (I can go all the way down to 7lbs o boost)

Think I have a blown stepper motor? Or am I just crazy, and have never really swapped the two lines?!

if your stepper is blown or has no power it fails to 7psi, not overboosting -
check the routing of your lines
check these sites for more info -

Works with the Home Depot valve..

Well, boost controll works with a home depot valve... but I cannot get it working with the damn profec b... I am fairly sure something's stuck open in there, and thus venting all the boost pressure (that should go to open the WG) It is acting just like if the hose isn't connected to the turbo at all, but venting to the atmosphere.

What setting should I have on the back of the Profec? I have the Overboost setting (up/down/up/down) What setting do youse guys run?

Dan,
Did you remove the hose on the backside of the actuator and cap that nipple? That lets the ECU control boost and needs to be removed for it to work correctly.

Yep... I've removed all the stock boost control junk... Capped the side of the actuator.

What makes me worry, as I reitterate, is I can controll the boost with a needle valve, as shown on Rob's old site... but the profec P doesn't work anymore (it did at one point in time, but no longer)

I'm non-sequential... Reason is that damn boost spike grnated my engine a year and a half ago. I'll post my dyno sheet up here to let everyone see what a nice curve I have.

Anyhow, I don't know what would cause a boost spike and low boost on turbo 1... non-seq fixed all of that
