Over heating

i had driven the FD yesterday and today with no problems i was doing highway driving a good 30 miles or so, when it came time to go get my paycheck i drove to work picked it up and drove 10 miles to get back home. when i got on back roads before my neighborhood the PFC hit 99 degrees then 100 then climbed to 112 when i got home i had no smoke ran fine no leaks nothing. then i stopped the car and noticed i was getting an over flow from the AST. yes its upgraded everything is running smooth i didnt get a coolant buzzer or anything and i wasnt putting the car under much load i dont know what could have just caused it. i was thinking coolant seal but with no smoke and instant start up i doubt it. i cant think of what is going on.

just went back in the garage to look at coolant lines and hoses everything looks in order. i started the car turned right over no leaks no smoke and temp, was reading 79 degrees after 5+ minutes of running and revving to 3k and holding at 2.5K for about a minute. engine turned over at 69 degrees so i think its fine now but any input on why it might do that would be helpful.

Could there be a loose electrical connection to the fans? Or possible a bad ground?

my 2 cents.

I was thinking either fan related issue ie. wiring or the fans themselves or your water pump is malfunctioning. Those are the first two places I would look.

i would think it to be a fan switch because when i turned the key to the on position on Saturday my fans didnt kick on.. ill check the relay and fuse later today when i get off work.
