Opinions on plug wires

Options:
Magnacore 8.5 mm for $65
Magnacore 10 mm for $75
Taylor 8.5mm for $40
Accel 8.5mm for $40

Who has experience with these? Which ones are the best or worst as far as fit and overall quality in your opinion?

I'm leaning towards the Magnacore or the Taylor ones but what do you guys think?

I haven't tried the others, but I'm happy with the Magnecor 10mm set.

Talking I love my Vitek wires

Taylor Pros would be my budget choice (best bang 4 buck). Racing Beat are an excellent fit (Max Cooper). I don't like the Magnecore, I had problems with them on my Honda. The Viteks can handle the most heat and that's why I chose them.
You can allways get heat sleeves (from Summit), if you don't mind the look.

MARIAH only uses stock MAZDA/NGK wires on FD's - acording to them they have the only boots that fit properly on the stock coils. Allthough I am willing to bet that MaxC is correct and the RACING BEAT ones fit well too. I know for a fact that the JACOBS boots did not fit worth s**t, too short and prone to slipping off.

i have MSD superconductors. very nice if you ask me. thick coating to withstand the million degree heat of our tiny V8 killer. they went on with little hassle, but i can assure its not a stock fit. good nonetheless. as for price, i work at autozone and bought them for right around 40 bucks. bang for the buck, oh yeah.

I got in on the Crane Cams plug wires deal (wires for like $8 or something like that on clearance). PITA to install though. Maybe I just did it wrong.

Taylors are very nice and fit well. The Vitec ones can withstand extreme temps. But cost way too much. The Jacobs on my FC are nice.
I would go with the Taylor Pros again.

I've got 25K miles on a set of Magnecore 10's and havent had any probs. They still look to be in very good shape also. I'd go with the 10's for the extra insulation with all the heat in out bay's

I would go with the magnacore 10mm. I have the Vitek, but want to switch to the magnacore.

O.K.

Its narrowed down to the Taylors or the 10mm Magnecore. I'd like to have a few more opinions on these.

Where did you guys buy from? How much?

Got mine (Magnecore 10mm) from Pettit Racing a couple years ago, dont remember what I paid but it was in the $75 ballpark

Check with the RX7 store last, they price match.

Well i'm going to try the Magencore (8mm) since I got them for $20. I want a new set with my new engine. The Vitek served it's purpose since they were very durable and heat resistant (but overpriced) with my hot engine bay. They snapped on well but are a lil too long (unless put on wrong). I had the dealer do it which I regret! The NGK's I had were brand new and when I asked for them back they said they threw them out allready (liars). They also never used the boot goop and condesation got in to one of them. Not as snug as my Moroso wires, that's for sure!

Magnecore 8.5mm here, and never had any problems. Magnecore makes very solid wires.

Another vote for Magnecore 8.5's. I have almost 30K on my set without any problems. They are a snug fit on the coils, but I used a paper clip layed along the coil tower while installing to release the trapped air.

I've got the Taylor ones. I've been happy with them. Not a bad price either.

What's wrong with stock NGK's ?

I think they get the job done and are cheap also.
