If its really perfect, then $25k easy. Perfect is a strong word though, but if you really mean perfect, that is, paint doesn't have any scratches, no dings, engine has good compression, nothing leaks, interior is excellent, etc., well thats gonna cost big bucks for a '95R2.

Last year I looked at a really clean BB 95 PEP w 18K miles. It had PFS stage 3 bolt ons (AI, IC, DP, CB, Y-Pipe) PMS ecu, PFS Springs & Sway Bars, Koni's and Fikse FM-5 wheels w/S-02's. All work was done at PFS. The guy wanted 30K for it. The car was so tight I was almost tempted to make an offer but decided to stay with my '94 Touring. I was really hopping he would have trouble selling it so I could try and make him an offer on the wheels. He ended up shipping it to the east coast to a guy who paid $27K for it. I think it was worth it for someone who wants a perfect car with sensible mods.
Personally I would pay 22 +/- 2K for the R1 you are describing but the PEP above seems like a steal by comparison since it had 10K in mods and lower miles.
If it's really the car you want, pay what you have to in order to get it. Aquiring a perfect FD is a rare oportunity. You will be surprsed how little you care about how much you paid for it, once you are behind the wheel.

That guy on the east coast was me but the car had 27k not 18k and the ***** selling the car screwed me big time. A day before the car was to be picked up he sold to someone else fortunately the shipper was cool and gave me back my deposit. He actually had it listed at 34k before the negotiations began his last words were " I checked with my lawyer and you can't sue me since you did not sign an agreement with me " That guy had zero character. I think he was a spoiled Daddy's boy who managed some properties but mostly played golf. He bought the car stock from pfs for 27k then did about 10k in upgrades the car was definately worth 27k. I ended up buying a very similar vr 94 for 21k with 38k miles on it with actually more upgrades but no wheels. But I have some fm10's coming from Rishie very soon. Off to feed the baby.

Fritz, I can't believe the guy did that to you.
That dude was exactly as you described.
The car was imaculate though.
I'm glad you were able to find another comprable car.
Buying a clean car with the right upgrades already done is the way to go.
FM10's on the way- Nice
